Listen to her soundher ideas about the bass! The line is weilded the way pianists of his generation did,HearLeschetizky pupil MarkHambourg in this and you will be reborn. Licad is very personal not cookie-cutter .This is fabulous Chopin!
Of course Chopin is to be played with rubato, but her 25-1 simply goes too far. It lacks a rhythmic backbone. Chopin himself, and all great Chopin players after him, agreed that this is essential. She doesn't have it, and the piece loses coherence as a result. To get a full sense of what she does wrong, compare, for example, Rubinstein's rendition in the Moscow recital (available on youtube).
are you really more concerned than the rules on Chopin performances too be inputed with less rubato than the passion she puts unto her playing? think about it, if all players agree to a certain degree of playing, then pianistic interpretation will be extinct in no time. Rubinstein is the only pianist I know who followed exactly how Chopin intended all his works to be played, but Licad can't try to be exactly like him

Good technique, but I personally don't think the Chopin would have wanted certain notes to be stretched and emphasized to that extent .
