my fave ever of the guys is Days and second Every Good Boy, but someone here in YT told me to get the old vinyl of Children s and listen again. 40 years later here i am in awe of this incredible album, incredible song and voices harmony. these lads are great artists and neat human beings.
I feel blessed to have heard all their music and seen them (not all orginal) Moodies in concert a couple of years ago. They rock, and speaking of such, how do they not rate being in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I went to an awesome concert last night...the Moodys played alot of material that wasn't their usual mainstay songs. There were some of the most significant, of course but it was simply wonderful. The view was great from the fifth row center!!!
I am in mourning. The Moodies are coming to Ottawa Sept. 22. I have never seen my favorite all time musicians and was too slow off the draw for tickets!
I had front row center lined up but was too slow to get the proper info into place for payment. When I got that fixed, it was too late!
@Tull29 I hope you didn't throw the cement block into the deep river. I live in Texas. Have always loved the Moodies. Got to see them only once in El Paso in 1978 or 79. Would have loved to hear them back in the day though. When i saw them, they had already started to change, losing Mike Pinder and getting Patrick Moraz for a while. My all time favorite band!
@W1I2L3L4ARD -No my Southern friend I did not but the gratification for me was knowing that after all of these years they can still sell out a 20,000 seat venue in a heartbeat. Many folks apparently still remember and understand!
@W1I2L3L4ARD AWESOME!! El Paso is my hometown. I graduated from Eastwood. I saw them back then too. It was during the Octave Tour. Before I left home to come to Missouri to finish my undergraduate at Evangel University, I saw The Moody Blues with the El Paso Symphony at the Don Haskins Center at UTEP during the Strange Times Tour. I love The Moody Blues! They touch something very deep and intimate in my heart, mind, and soul. They have a special gift from the Lord to do that.
to MoodyJill...your videos are exquisite and capture visually what the Moodies are doing sonically...thank you for the wonderful images to the magical music of the Moody Blues...
This is one I've NEVER heard in concert--One of my absolute favorite Moodys songs and I think John Lodge's best song (also love Send Me No Wine is great). I love the Mellotron and the grand piano work by Mike too---beautiful lyrics to boot. "Something there outside says we're only In the hands of time, falling slowly.."--Great audio in the post!

Pinder was a genius but this is magnificent. Just as profound and the orchestration elevating.

I saw the MB's in Omaha, and even tho I had a really bad seat, it was still one of the best shows. I hope to get to see them again soon..

What group could ever compare? As a kid I was laughed at for my musical taste.
It is amazing to see people saying "Who are these guys" and why have I not heard of them before.
Full circle for those who are just discovering what real music is!
