Also, the newer versions of LANSchool alert the teacher when a student removes a network cord.

The only conceivable way to terminate or otherwise manipulate these kinds of programs is through kernel-mode proccess termination, DLL Injection, or assembly code injection, all of which are out of most students in High-School/Elementary school's range of abilities.

Unfortunately. most school admins are smart enough to reduce the priviledges on the students next to nothing. You can't terminate sockets (a.k.a ports) or proccesses, not to mention the fact that most important proccess run themselves under SYSTEM, which is superior to all other accounts on the local computer, and can not be logged into, only have proccesses created under it. There's no easy way to bypass this.

ok this is the easier way there is a cord that is almost clear plugged into the wall or floor in my case unplug it and the school program is disabled "this is mainly used for lan school" if a teacher happens to notice just tell them that you accidentally stepped on XD :) thanks for listening

you guys are all n00bs. if you wanna get into the administrator account, open notepad and type:

start command[dot]com

then save the file as something.bat, open it then type:

net users administrator *

it will ask you to set a password for the administrator, type one (eg. hello) then logoff your account then sign in as username: administrator

password: hello (or whatever you typed)

then for the domain select 'this computer' and your in! from there you can delete LanSchool then your free!

You cannot delete LanSchool unless you Teacher.exe is installed on your computer, and that is impossible. Student.exe can be installed to multiple computers but Teacher.exe can only be installed once. Without Teacher.exe, LanSchool protects it's files from deletion, movement or renaming. Unless your school/college/university are stupid, LanSchool protection will be active, and you can do shit.

Hmm you could try searching for the ports it uses using TCPVIEW and try disabling it from there, although this doesnt work for the network i am on, the college network guys know their stuff lol.... try some sort of port blocking software? if that doesnt work im pretty sure there must be a registry entry one can change.... just a few suggestions ^_^

port blocking is complicated as hell though. espescially on a restricted computer.

EMSA port blocker should go some of the way to doing it, by using TCPview to see which ports the monitoring program uses, then EMSA port blocker to block the ports :)

Tcpview. It is a free bit of software from microsoft (wait, this ACTUALLY works, (sometimes) despite its creator) Then you use this to view all tcp/udp endpoints, find any connection under the student.exe process, and kill them. You can also use comodo firewall or EMSA port blocker, but Comodo firewall - you probably wouldnt be able to install, and EMSA port blocker, isn't particularly good.

True. At my school they ended up blocking all sites with "proxy" in the URL. Fortunately there's plenty of online proxies not using such an obvious URL.

Another thing you could do is to set up your own computer to relay traffic, just like a proxy. Leave it on when you go to school and you can view the web from it. I'll see if I can dig up some more info on that...

Easiest way to shut down lanschool, go to a folder where you can hit search on...then click search all files and folders and search "lanschool" in the all or part of the file name...then usually it should be the 4th one, or it should be the 2nd app file or called something like "lanschool 7_2" or something like that, then open that folder and click setup, accept, uninstall, finish, then it uninstalls (make sure the teacher doesn't notice), then finish once more and your free! ^_^

well, if you get a 2 gb flash drive, just get like puppy linux or damn small linux or even ubuntu. Install the apps you want on it, ( pidgin + firefox ) then you can IM, or browse the web with no monitoring. I do not know every schools server's either but your web should be able to do whatever you want ( flash games )

If your system administrator had a brain he would disable programs on removable storage and have a restore program such as clean slate or deep freeze installed. System administrators that cannot figure this out deserve to be hacked.

Most have. Although there is always a way around everything. At most schools they give you a small amount of space on their network storage, you can execute programs in there. But to put the programs in there, you have to zip them since they do not allow putting exes in there by themselves.
