I can see this being really cool at the time it came out, especially compared to all the NES beat-em-ups that were coming out around then. This would have been a classic if released on that system (well, even more so).

The lack of in-game music was the only big disappointment I had, but generally speaking I was very excited to get this game for Christmas when I was 13 and enjoyed completing it.

Obivously, there are better titles in the genre, but I think it was a pretty good conversion, and the graphics are terrific. The intro music was excellent, too. Just a shame they couldn't be bothered making in-game music as that would have transformed it into a much more engrossing arcade experience.

To be honest, the Spectrum version of GA was okay, but could have done a lot better as demonstrated by the awesome Target: Renegade.

You do actually get some games on the 8-bit machines that show how lazy some of the console versions were - even when given better hardware.

This version looks and plays terrible. You got owned repeatedly by the first two enemies. No music, crap sounds, hard to hit anything = broken game.

yeh great. and many many arcade games were superior to the megadrive version, and Nintendo DS versions compared to PS2-3 version games, so what. you cant really compare different generation formats. many years from now you will gain knowledge, but till then, just wait youngster
