i am sorry. but i gotta say that you are wrong. laplanders are not eskimos, they are saame and are related to siberian hunters. allso the leaving of old people was only done in extreme cases of famine and was not practiced by saame. saame are not inuits or eskimos. they are related to finns and karelians. i am sorry but you are stereotyping one instance witch happend in one tribe of inuits in alaska long time ago in a time of extreme famine. that is not part of inuit customs.
Sounds like he's teaching from James Rachels "The Elements of Moral Philosophy". Rachels rejects Cultural Relativism as an ethical theory but says there are lessons we can learn from it.
I only wish I knew his name. About two years ago I found this lecture coming out of Miami Dade college. I contacted the college and tried and tried to get his name, but no one knew who it was!? His lectures are no longer available on the net.
