@electricphantom it's hard to tell which ferry they were on South or North? Which marnia (00:21)? Did she pick the places to visit, was she invited, or if the spots were chosen by Comcast? Your friend is on the north end and I agree the views are great the people friendly. I did not visit from the south end ferry yet and will have to do that next visit. The south end (Tacoma) has a good restaurant "Anthony's" right at the ferry terminal. When I visit Vash I NEVER want to leave.
@NedSneed: It depends on what side of the island you are on, I'm guessing. I was on Vash the day this was filmed. I live in Seattle and am often there because my closest friend lives there. She lives on Glen Acres Road in a beautiful home and community on the north east side of the island. That part of town attracts mid-upper class working adults/families. I never want to leave when I visit her. Its fun watching whales/dolphins and birds from her deck. A peaceful community with panoramic views.
"pretty much remained the same"? I'd like to remind your viewers that Vashon Island has changed in some pretty dramatic and negative ways, the worst being that what used to be an affordable rural alternative for working class people who want something other than a city or suburb has morphed into an expensive yuppie ghetto.
