  • Bellissimo Maurozio !

  • Also, i'm looking for an English transcription of these lyrics, so keep your eyes open :) thanks for your uploadin by the way, its appreciated

  • I was under the impression this was Don Powell vocals. are you sure its this Maurizio Graf guy? the singing sounds almost identical to a track like Deadly Morning or Texas Addio

  • @QuinnDougherty in addition, You can notice recurring themes throughout Powell's work, its his signature style. the lyrics of "Texas Addio" deal with the relationship between love and hate, as one 'becomes a man'. This is the same lyrical content of "eye for an eye". Also, in "a deadly morning" the lyrics contain the phrase "eye for an eye". one might call it coincidence, but i maintain that it could be a motif developed and returned to by the artist.

  • When I first listen to this song, I thought it was pure crap (well the singer), but after listening to it multiple times, I was in love.

  • comes close to Ecstasy of Gold at times

  • @myrtlebox I think it sounds more like the theme from 'Long Days of Vengeance'

  • LOL Oh, damn.

  • great track but im glad it wasnt used in the film as it would have taken the whole mysterys away from the man with no name.

  • Lovce Maurizio Graf, love Ennio Morricone and love this song!

  • As much as I love Morricone, that singer is rotten.

  • Morricone..........untouchable !!!!!!!

  • i dont like the singing.. its not bad but i would like to hear music

  • great voice of Maurizio Graf!

  • cette version etait sur une ancienne K7 de compils de Morricone sortis il y a une trentaine d'anneé ou on voyait en photo la fin du film "pour une poigneé de dollards"

  • It's alwasy me !

    Thank's a lot for this great music(song !

    I oft listen !

Thank's a lot !

  • I love this version. Wouldn't have worked in the film, but a great supplement to the film.

  • Wow--first time ever I've heard this vocal version. It's good for a listen or two, but I'm glad Leone knew enough not to use it in the film.

  • I'm looking for the instrumental version without this shit voice...

    Someone can help me pls

  • Música linda e inesquecível, voz maravilhosa de Maurízio Graff, com desejaria saber mais a respeito dele.

  • ringrazio Dio per averci dato Ennio Morricone

  • wow, hahaha!

  • This song always makes me laugh. I have this version and the italian version, reminds me of pastures of plenty in how shocking it is to hear the theme from the dollars films with lyrics. Wish Morricone still made this kind of music though :(

  • Was Graf really involved during the film? or did he just make the music after the film?

  • Hi! there is a quite similar song from Elvis Presley's only western called CHARRO. Sung by the King himself. I will upload it and post it as a video response if you like.

  • P.S. here it is. But maybe I was wrong. Listening to the song again, it's a bit different from what is was in my memory.

  • Per filmscoremaniac's comment - 'I'm pretty sure the vocal was only done for a record single' - I know I had this vocal version included on an Italian issue LP for 'For a Few Dollars More', that I cound in the '70s. I would like to find that same album on CD, if it even exists. Great score for this film!

  • I'm pretty sure the vocal was only done for a record single. It's not used in the film, though you can find the track on some of the newer issues of this soundtrack.
