Somehow this sounds wonderfully American. I don't know why, exactly. It's gorgeous and the performance is outstanding.

@Sobesam11 I should have said more. I guess it sounds Coplandesque to me and there's a free-spirit to this that I have decided sounds "American". -- Charles Ives, believe it or not, never sounds American to me.

Fantastic playing! I love your interpretation of this piece! One of my favorite pieces! Truly an inspiration!

Great job. Really liked the contrast and colors between various dynamics. Too bad that the 2001 Boosey and Hawkes edition of the piece has errors like crazy. Mostly between the clarinet part and the clarinet line in the piano score where dynamics are left out in the clarinet part but also rhythmic error which was different in the score and the clarinet part and both of them wrong. I expect more from such a well known and respected publisher than this kind of a finish.
