There is definitely an important symbolism in people walking backward, people standing still and/or fighting in place, and people walking/running forward. Backward (including driving): slave to greater human organism, still/in place: realizing that one is slave to greater organism, and forward: assuming self-determination within enslavement. I like how the little girl at the end begins to walk forward against the grain. There should be a sequel video in which she's the central character.

You would have to ask Rob or the director for an offical answer, but my take is that Rob is seeing reality in a different perspective, however there some invisible force pulling him back. Nobody expect the little girl and the giant old man see him, that may be something related to innocence of children and the wisdom of old age, everyone else is gossiping, in love or fighting, they all move in reverse whilst Rob is pushing forward this may be a reflection of our society....

Wall represents the final barrier, but this does not stop Rob he flies through the air with ease, eyes closed says that he has complete faith. Once he breaks the wall we see Rob as a giant, the people carry on like ants completely unaware of Rob's presence, only the little girl sees him.
