Wow, I'm from the Valley and I don't remember these promos. These seem pretty "professional" for the time and I don't think the other local stations were as such. It seems sometime in the late 80s and early 90s KVEO went down hill, lost their News cast. With that said I don't understand the Volleyball promo. It seems kinda random, but I guess they liked them shirts
I remember these running when I was working at KRGV. Frankly, they weren't too impressive, but they had a great signal that blew away both KRGV and KGBT in McAllen.
I remember that no one else had animation then. That's why we thought they were cool, such as the 23 that turned into the Valley. Looks cheesy now, but it was innovative local production back then.
Absolutely correct...I need to retract what I said regarding "weren't too impressive". It WAS the first animation capability in the RGV and I had forgotten what state of the art was back then.
wow, this is so cool! I was born and raised in the RGV and i've been imagining what the stations looked like back in the 70s and 80s! please keep it coming!

These promos have the aura of an independent station.

Who did the 23's the Place song? It sounds like it was done in San Diego...was it Tuesday or Peters?
