Sad to say that some are unable to appreciate what Barbados has to offer.

I have travelled far and wide, and Barbados is unique and will continue to be attractive to the rich, famous and those with an appreciation for the finer things in life.

that being said, i think ill leave some advice for those unfortunate enough to actually be in barbados now... the best beach i found (after about a week of looking) is gibbs beach, by mullins bay. theres a little private access way to the beach. still not worldclass, but its the best youre going to get, and you don't get hassled by people selling trinkets and trying to braid your hair too much. it still happens a little, but that seems to be inevitable on barbados.

its filled with overpriced resorts with rich tourists surrounded by tin roofed shacks with poor people wandering around all day every day who hassle you on the beach asking if you want to buy weed. its a small, economically depressed carribean country which is entirely dependant on outside tourist dollars if its not going to turn into jamaica. so know that before you go there, i wish someone had told me.

@sweetgirl9000 this is a completely characteristic answer of barbados... i agree with superspider barbados is a pure case of really effective marketing... beaches aren't world class and i've travelled a lot. everyone is just out to make a buck.
