  • Can't wait to hear it through a good PA! Looks like a blast. How bad could it sound?

  • It looks like this synth is a great value for the money. I wonder about it's construction (plastic ?) and roadworthyness though.

  • getting this the day it comes out

  • awesome !

  • cute but I think I will stick with my old good Clavia Nord Lead

  • i though casio is calculator XD

  • I've never been a big fan of Casio; I always saw them as the cheap and inferior alternative to Yamaha, but I gotta admit: That thing sounds pretty badass!

  • It's got all your Bread and butter. Does it make toast?

  • £500?! Thats a lot of kit and capability considering that's the same price (ish) as the Roland Juno Di!

And its even more tempting coz it brings back memories of my old CTK-601 :D

  • sigh...i remember when casio only did calculators !

  • Great! More competition, better products!

  • Great! More competition, better products!

  • This looks genuinely quite good

  • you should eat less shit, and show how the toy sounds like...

  • This is a terrific demo! The Q + A format keeps it spontaneous and energetic. Great information flow. Nicely done.

  • want!

  • Lovely presentation..very comprehensive, wonderfully lush synth sounds, features & the like...but since Casio is marketing the XW-P1 as a pro-grade synth, why is Casio so elusive in terms of details, such as the amount of megabytes in regard to the size of the ROM??

Also, the A/D conversion is not what I would label as being pro-grade...a 42kHz sample rate with only 10 bit resolution??

Certainly not the most brilliant prospect in terms of recording these sounds into a DAW,heh?

  • this looks amazing.

  • Bert Smorenburg and Yamaha - watch out! Casio means business, and they've got Mike to prove it!

Not bad, not bad at all! Honest pricing with full box of creative matches. Just hoping for cosmetics to evolve with the future models.

  • Great demo! The guy is earning his money! Clearly loves his work :)

  • Korg, Roland , Yamaha LOOK OUT! Please oh Please find out more on the G1!

  • do you have a decent presentation of the radikal accelerator?

  • @krakou2 yep if you go to sonicstate news and search radikal you should find it

  • @sonicstate

was thinking of a 10-20 minutes video, the synth looks deep.

  • Awesome sauce :)))))))))))))

  • Amazing! What a great price as well! Thanks!

  • Oh god, why did I just bought the Ultranova? :D

  • Great presentation by the Casio rep.

  • mmmmm very good

  • I have rarely...or never seen this many things I have wanted in one keyboard. And yet for so affordably. I happened to need a rompler, organ model and synth in one affordable and light packet. I though it would be impossible. And the step sequencer is almost too much happiness; I'm not sure I can wait for its EU launch.

  • @varoennauraa I agree. This keyboard is a good surprise for me also. It's a no-brainer at $499.

  • It retails for 600$. I have an old Casio synth, me thinks I will pull it out of mothballs.

  • Cool. Less toys and more "pro" stuff. With Casio's less than stellar samples, this may be the best route to take. If the keys are still too bad, maybe they could start using fatar keys for example.

Let's hope they're creative enough to bring some new kinds of synthesis to the market. Sampling has gone forward a whole lot, but synthesis seems to have stood still. At least in hardware. Native Instruments have been moving it forward in softsynths, albeit slowly.

  • amazing synth
