This is really good. The thing that makes this so great is that you implement the Classic Sonic Genesis-style physics into the gameplay and platforming (i.e. rolling allows you to pick up speed much faster than simply running). You also added a lot of cool elements (like the spiral platforming area) .

Personally I think after playing the demos that this game handles BETTER than classic Sonic in Generations.

Overall this game (Emerald Hill and Chemical Plant Zones) is amazing and more imaginative to me, than what they did with Classic Sonic levels in SG.

It has all the speed and platforming you'd expect from old Sonic games.

Keep the detail you had in Emerald Hill though. I think it was perfect and not overdone nor distracting. Anyone who got distracted by it, needs to fix their concentr

...the musical direction and sound effects need work though. The theme for chemical plant sould be as epic as the song's ending with the "evil egg doctor", feel to it.

Much better model than classic sonic in generations. And the physics for the spindash are much tighter and less over powered. To say, the leg animations are a much needed homage to sonic 2. From what I see, Sonic is less childish-looking and easier to control.

I am definitely looking forward to generations, but im predicting modern levels to be easy as piss and only the classic levels to have any real gameplay challenge.

@gosper <---- this guy was pretty much right... they just give you S ranks. Though I did enjoy the modern sections, I feel like unleashed,colors and gens we're the best modern modern sonic games -not including the dreamcast era-. It would be cool to see SEGA do a continuation of games for both sonics, I think that would please both old school fans and the modern fans. Sega could do this encase they weren't pleased with generations -though it was pretty good in my opinion-.

Gameplay of Classic Sonic in Generations is crap compared to Sonic Fan Remix. You get hit and have to wait like 3 seconds to be able to retake your rings, in which they are most vanished already. Unless you spend a slot to have rings disappear in 10 seconds instead of 5.
