This game has huge Zelda elements, plus a fucking portal gun. What does GoW have again? Oh right--nothing except the same old hack-n-slash from previously existing games before it.
why the 2 hate'n fuckers on the top?? a bald black character is original for a main...any other bald char on any other game is usually the bad guy u beat up...most main characters have wild hair like fukn yu-gi-o, so you hoodie wearing emo's need to STFU and think of your own ideas instead of bitching about everyone elses!

I found out that most of the big monster are hard to defeat as i put them apocalypse( hard) . so are the boss ( tiamat) one of the legendary four guardian set by the destroyer.
this game is good but not on the level of GOD OF WAR in fact they just copied from GOD OF WAR the developers admitted it they used GOD OF WAR as inspiration but can never come near it

For everybody who compares this to prototype.... Damn you guys are way off the ball. Prototype is a true sandbox game, while this one just tries to emulate one.
Darksiders has loading screens EVERYWHERE... Prototype has.... just enough to do cutscenes. Other than that, it's go anywhere and do anything.
Prototype also has way more enemies to face than Darksiders does (I've done a playthrough on both and know this well) Until you get Ruin, moving around in darksiders is a PITA.

Destructible environments, Free-flow combat system, not just point and click... You have to actually FIGHT. WoW became boring after I hit level 65 in 6 days. WoW plays to the "lazy gamer" which unfortunately is about 75% of the gamer population. Again, WoW sucks.

@Volvedor Darksiders was really kinda based on the Book of Revelations but not ALL of it, it shows that there were seven seals but it wasn't opened in the game but in the Bible it was, and there were only 3 horsemen in here but in the Bible there were 4, unlike God of War they used every Greek God's name and every detail from history (except the war locations) is accurate

KIND OF BASED would be if they only used a random character or some minor event.... but both games took elements from a already existing plot and built a game around that... that was my point. @Volvedor Yep GoW was more accurate than Darksiders, btw they did used a random character that was a horseman but they din't point out if it's the 1st horseman of the Bamberg Apocalypse, the 2nd horseman, the 3rd horseman of the Tapestry Apocalypse, or the 4th horseman of the Bamberg Apocalypse, and also there were only two Large Beasts, if they're gonna create a game and based it on a book (like this one) they should be more accurate next time :)

You don't have to be experienced to realize that aside from the a few added features, the game play is the same and that calling out Darksiders for copying GoW is a double standard.

@Mac6274 I really really enjoyed Bayonetta. Never actually played this one, which is why I'm looking at this video to try and convince myself to buy it. But Bayonetta is great, the 360 version of course.

@masitar Okay this game is Spawn Armageddon with God of war gameplay. Thats the best way to describe it. Spawn armageddon was a destroyed city with angels and demons battling destroying everything and you step in with a red cape and skulls lookin all badass and fight everyone. And its pretty obvious the similarities to GoW (God of War) not gears..

@Volvedor Darksiders was really kinda based on the Book of Revelations but not ALL of it, it shows that there were seven seals but it wasn't opened in the game but in the Bible it was, and there were only 3 horsemen in here but in the Bible there were 4, unlike God of War they used every Greek God's name and every detail from history (except the war locations) is accurate

KIND OF BASED would be if they only used a random character or some minor event.... but both games took elements from a already existing plot and built a game around that... that was my point. Of course, GoW tried to be more accurrate than Darksiders, but still...

@Volvedor Yep GoW was more accurate than Darksiders, btw they did used a random character that was a horseman but they din't point out if it's the 1st horseman of the Bamberg Apocalypse, the 2nd horseman, the 3rd horseman of the Tapestry Apocalypse, or the 4th horseman of the Bamberg Apocalypse, and also there were only two Large Beasts, if they're gonna create a game and based it on a book (like this one) they should be more accurate next time :)

And by the way, im a fan of both, altough I can't seem to recall using two weapons at the same time in gow like you do with dante's ebony & ivory and his sword. and gow used plenty of real time minigames/events that you cannot see in dmc.

That's like saying Resident Evil isn't inspired by Alone in the Dark because I don't remember using machine guns in AitD.
You don't have to be experienced to realize that aside from the a few added features, the game play is the same and that calling out Darksiders for copying GoW is a double standard.

@ChildrenofAmory Of course dmc is the foundation of almost all the slash'em up games, but darksiders uses up a lot of god of war's basics, including controls, and even the 3x light attack 1x heavy attack sequence... Dude, check out ign or gamespot's reviews, you cant miss it. The comparison is inevitable. Im not sayin I dislike it, but gow is way better

@masitar Okay this game is Spawn Armageddon with God of war gameplay. Thats the best way to describe it. Spawn armageddon was a destroyed city with angels and demons battling destroying everything and you step in with a red cape and skulls lookin all badass and fight everyone. And its pretty obvious the similarities to GoW (God of War) not gears..
