German version has better fluctuation of power in it. The german version of "Il est des frontières quon passe malgré des milliers de soldats" just gives you goosebumps, this doesn't.

Truly Beautiful! The first time I heard this song was in the credits. But that one was a dutch version because the movie was in dutch subtitles. I really like that one as well. But this one is still the best! <3

there are 3 versions french, german and italian. All version are similar. They made diffrent language versions to sell the movie better. You can hear all versions on the asterix soundtrack. I think the germans spend more money for the music video clip.

je trouve que jjg a beaucoup plus de talent et qu'il y a plus d'émotion quand c'est lui qui chante... je trouve aussi que la facon de chanter de xavier naidoo et un peu trop superficielle... mais je respecte tes gouts pour moi l'essentiel c'est que les chansons de goldman fassent parler jusqu'aux Etats Unis... ;-)

the lyrics in french is almost the same as in german! in german they tried to translate as good as possible but they also wanted it to rhyme.

Je préfère la version allemande, que j'ai connue plusieurs mois avant la version française grâce à un ami allemand. Bizarrement, malgré que la version allemande soit une adaptation de cette version, je trouve qu'elle sonne mieux, que les les paroles passent mieux sur la musique que la version originale. La voix de Xavier Naidoo y joue pour beaucoup (il a une voix magnifique, un de mes chanteurs allemands préférés)et je trouve le son des mots plus joli que celui des mots français.
