reservation = concentration camp = crime against humanity
beautiful people dont"forget the malediction of Tecumseh. Americans are damned for eternity for their genocide. Their Gods will never protect them. They are inexistent. The malediction is still active. We aspect 2020 and the destiny of the elected president. White are evil and will all die.
The part that was so touching was the way you included as many names and dates a possible. It gave them identity rather than just a thematic subject in a photo of historical significance. The other thought was, how could our ancestors did what they did to these incredible people? Could they not see the dignified humanity, the beauty of their art, culture, customs and religion? Were they so blinded by their cultural and religious superiority complex? Was manifest destiny so demanding?
Helen I loved this music and Beautiful pictures I love your channel. I travel around youtube and see a lot of disturbance and pain all our ancestors have guidance if we listen and open our hearts and minds There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance — that principle is contempt prior to investigation. The Cheyenne were / are amongst the most handsome, proud, noble bands of Plains Indians. Read the literature as to how much Maj. Edward Wynkoop was astoundedly impressed by them & their sprituality ("I felt that I was in the presence of superior beings") when he had to escort them a lengthy distance over the prairie to a 'treaty' meeting, late 1860s. He became their reservation agent to protect their interests, so enraptured was he by The People. Custer betrayed his word to them & died for it.
In a way we're in the same boat as native Americans, we got our islands taken away by white people who had guns =P And now we are fighting to keep our language and culture alive... Awesome... I'm half white and half Chamorro, and just wanna say that what happend was a long time ago and no white people to this day are responsible, they're all dead =O
Thanks, but I'm actually 18, idk why my profile says I'm 16 lol I've thought long and hard about how I was raised. I'm Catholic, involved in Martial arts, and yoga etc. I have seen many views on life and what people think it is about. When I think of my God, he is forgiving, loving. I think it's VERY important to hold onto our culture and languages, but also more important that we see ourself has a human, and not a Chamorro VS white VS black etc
@ohorok2 yes well lets call them Native Americans thanks, and yes my fault i let one picture slip in which i should have known as i have tons of sitting bull pictures, so no need for sarcasm,
@ohorok2 i forgot to also say i dont find all pictures on the net as i bought over 3000 pictures of Native Americans, but most do not have which tribe they are from so i usualy double check online so i dont have people coming to me saying thats not a lakota or shoshone, but i did notice afterwards i let sittingbull slip in.
Ahhh.....beautiful! And it also makes me sad. I remind myself that the native indians are rising again(all over north and south america) and it's about time. There is much to offer. After all, we are all children of god, goddess.
why is it when people talk about native americans the cheyenne are rarely metioned, is there a certain reason for that, I was adopted, but I know my real family has cheyenne in it and I am interested in learning about them but the task has not been very sucessful, anyone have any answers or help thanks!
Wonderfull.. love this! so relaxing, so beautiful, the harmony, all! But somehow sad, it reminds me of the sadness and suffering all the native tribes in the whole america had to take. Indians are the beautifulest people of all time (my opinion).
My favourite tribes are the Plain indians.
Right now i'm also reading Bury my Heart at Wounded knee. More people should read it!
yeah, it was only about the last chapter, the end, but there's so much more! Not just the Sioux, Apache and so one, everybody have heard about Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse and Geronimo and so on, but there is so much more they need to know!
