  • funny how a few chords can make a song sound so fucking incredible

  • I bow before your awesomeness!!!!

  • ничотак

  • Gah, you make this look so easy. One of my favorite songs and you did an amazing cover! I know you already got a comment like this, but it would be awesome if you could put up a step by step video! I'm kinda a derp when it comes to tabs. Like I said, great job!

  • The only issue I have with it, is that the notes are too lagato, to long. They need to be more stacato, short, and accented.

if possible, try to eliminate the excess on the tail end of the note. Another thing of note is that it is a little hard to tell where one note begins, and the other ends, but that could just be another issue with the length of the note. All in all the part at 6:57 was well done. as well as other parts within the song.

  • The tabs you posted suck.

  • Thanks for tabs!

  • Awesome job, and thanks for the transcription too. I love this track, and you really nailed it.

  • hey man really great cover

Would you mind making an video lesson on how to play it ? Would be well appreciated !

    Keep on playing !

  • I think the solo part is great! You aced this :) gonna try it out myself too, this song is fuckin awesome! I love ME series<3

  • i'm commander shepard and this is my favorite cover from youtube

  • I wonder if the band actually plays it with a delay because when listening to this it just makes sense. It sounds exactly the same. Maybe someone should write them an E-Mail ;)

  • I think it's absolutely correct, just watched the video and at ~2:50 you can clearly see the picking speed.

  • My delay effect sucks T_T

  • Awsoeme.

Dude, what delay time did you set? I'm trying to to this with delay but the timing is all wrong.

  • Awesome job!! 10/10

  • Great work man! The finetuning might still need some work but the solo really blew me off.

  • Wow, it sounds really good man. I have a question though, if anyone can answer -- are you using a chorus pedal?

  • You're awsome you know.

  • job well done man, i'd say that the only thing that might need improvement is the stacatto and the accenting of the notes, especially around 3:37. it's really tricky because one flubbed note gets magnified multiple times, and that's where i have problems as well. it's a really good exercise though for stacatto, accenting and consistency. again, good job man!

  • Man, you're awesome. You've nailed it! Practically flawless, the solo/bridge part is really good too, given it's quite a difficult part, even though it doesn't sound that hard.

    Again, wonderful job mate.

  • Nice one !!!

  • @PeteyPeteyH It's actually around 375ms (ie, 1.5 times the picking period). That took me an embarrasing amount of time to figure out...

  • @RaharuStudios That's it. 1.5 times the picking period. Thanks for writing it in "ms".

  • Hey man, I tried accessing your tab but even after registering for ultimate guitar it won't let me see it (apparently on people in the US can use the service) do you think you could put it up somewhere else or alternatively send it to me? Thanks

  • amazing

  • *pretty hard to make

  • I dont have a delay pedal and stuff, is pretty make it sound so accurate without a delay pedal? And i've played guitar for 4 years now and i cant figure what the delay pedal does/ is for, can someone give me a rundown of its purpose and stuff?

  • nice

  • Dude, did you finish the tabs? I've wanted to play this song so badly for months. Please let me know!

  • thanks man, for the best cover of Faunts-M4 i've ever heard and the solo is amaaaaaaazing. It sounds like the original or perhaps better and thats saying someting !!! :D:D

I'm afraid the link doesn't work but otherwise......no words.

  • I have nothing to say but wow - this is incredible! Well done sir - you have done this piece great credit! Truely awesome

  • Oooh getting the delay right is so key to this song. Loud, almost unity level repeats with the proper timing (a timing which is completely different than I expected...), and also playing about half the notes I expected. Thanks!

  • You did an awesome job. If you don't mind, try watching the M4, Part II video, I think it may help you on how the band did it. I don't think you need the delay effect, just speed up the "pick". No offense meant, just some helpful hints.

  • @TsmnnDvl5 The delay effect is the key to the entire song. Speeding up the picking "works" if you want to play an abombination of the same song, sure. This sounds 1000x closer to the way the band did in than "picking every note" method. Even with the picking every note method, you'd still need a delay pedal to get all the repeats that you can CLEARLY hear. Listen closer.

  • @Oreomeister I understand what you're saying. As I said, you did a wonderful job playing the song. It just seems a tad slow, this could be due to the recording itself. I know different recording devices/systems effect on how things sound. I meant no disrespect at all. So, keep playing, this IS an awesome song!!

  • @TsmnnDvl5

Thanks for the comment. I watched the video plenty of times but I think he's skipping the upstrokes there (especially noticeable at 0:59). I have been trying this with alternate but it does not sound as fluid and even as the delay. And yes, the slowing is because of the camera. It starts to slow after a few minutes of recording (probably cpu or ram related).

  • I'm not sure if my post got in so sorry in case of double post but...

WHAT THE HELL. This is too amazing man, it made me want to unpack my guitar and get back to practicing again after like 6 months without touching it. And that solo is really showing off... great, great.

Please do share tabs once you put them together!

    Great job.

  • @fdaen Hey, I'm glad it helped you play again! I tabbed the song and added a link to it. Check the song info for that. Just don't forget to add the delay effect :D

  • @SageSensei Maaaany thanks. What did you set your delay to though? Using a zoom G3 I messed with its options and really couldnt be quite sure of what would be the optimal value for that.

  • @SageSensei hey, I don't want to ask too much, but could you create a pdf file for the guitar pro tab? I don't have guitar pro and I don't want to download programs, I don't trust my av enough.

  • THAT SOLO!!! amaaaazing!!!!!!!!! im gonna try practicing t ONCE

  • God like !

  • AWESOME JOB MAN!!! Can you please send me tabs if you made them, i can't find them anywhere!

  • @cimi93x Thanks! I'm almost done with them. I'll let you know when it's complete

  • @cimi93x I NEEEED TABS FOR THIS NOW!

  • Good job, dude. Pretty much nailed the sound.
