  • more like too brainwashed

  • i am truly conflcted here; it is her right to be schooled by her parents, yet do we really want another christian biggot in the world? religion is fine for reasonable people, but people who nee d social crutch in which to live their life tend to overdo it and shove something down people's throats. wasn't it jesus himself who preached 'do unto others as you want done unto you'? (paraphrased) would overzealous christians like having judaism or islam or buddhist or hindu forced on them?

  • @GregThePanda You don't know if she's going to become a bigot in the future. Moreover, not all Christians are bigots. Personally, as an atheist (specifically an explicit atheist according to Smith's categorization and a positive atheist according to Flew) I'm of the opinion that everyone has the right to believe in something religious or spiritual, and I'd be inclined to disagree with the court's decision as inconsistent with the establishment of religious-oriented schools throughout America.

  • The Bible is just a massive Fairy Tale, and Jesus is no more real than the Three Little Pigs.

  • Wow that is terrible.... I've been to public schools for a very long time... And this year God has blessed me with a Christian School.... I have seen the difference and if given a choice between public or private, I would pick private any day. God please touch this pour girl.

  • This just blows my mind. Parents should not be forced to send their children to public schools. As long as they meet academic requirements there is no problem whatsoever with homeschooling. My sister was homeschooled for all twelve years, and is now in medical school getting her vet tech degree.

Since when does the government have the right to judge the best schooling for a child based on religion instead of academics? Absurdity.

  • Having homeschooled my 3 children - my eldest is currently studying Biology with intentions of med school - she was awared an academic scholoarship and has also be awarded a position as assistant to a professors research study.

My middle chld has just recently returned from a trip to China - where she made a large impact on the people and government. O yeah, she paid for the trip herself by forgoing parties, new clothes, etc. to step in to the plans of God.

    Truth also leads my youngest.

  • @Grace4Me4Ever you mean she paid for the trip by herself by forgoing parties, new clothes, etc. to step into HER plans....sad to see someone who is obviously bright enough to make good decisions on her part (your daughter) and then give the credit to god...it's her brain!!!!!

  • @painredifined01 you are so funny! The public school labeled her with a learning disability. yes, I give God the credit for giving her the mind of Christ! O happy day!! What totally awesome kids I have! I thank God for each one and for the unique plans that He has for each one. The joy of living!

  • Good Reason, Who do you think funds public education? The same government that controls the liberal propaganda machine that the schools have been for decades. I can see they did a fine job.

  • Look at what disgusting propaganda this is, "government run school," Come on! Home schooled children still need to pass standards specifically b/c of bad parents like this who teach nonsense and hide their child from the real world, thus raising a person unable to deal with society beyond her mother's skirt.

Boo-hoo home school parents. I'm sure you're so upset that someone pointed out that not everyone's views are valid. I'm sorry your Christian fantasies get no respect, give reality a chance.

  • them in court

  • I know a couple of families who home school their children with a Christian setting at home in just my town

You are totally right this court is taking away the rights of the parents to chose how to educate their children

The parents already have to be totally qualified to home school their children anyways

Its not like they are telling her that she cant go to Band or PE at school or anything which they even have the complete right to do

I will pray for this family and pray that god helps

  • Read more articles about religious freedom linked at the bottom of this story posted on our site.

  • thank you so much for sharing this information! as a homeschooling family, this is of great concern to us. will be in prayer for this family, the girl and the outcome!

  • That judge likes the 45 Communist goals for the USA.

All 45 are in progress - that is what 'Progressive' means!

  • The govt wants to erase any traces of God in this country. Thank you for all that you do! I will repost.
