Actually, it is you who's the idiot, there may be no "Tanks" but there will be tanky characters, you can build your character however you want, what Anet means whit the holy trinity, is that there are no talent trees/weapons (abilities) specific for a role, everyone has atleast one heal, but some has more and better heals.

everyone can deal damage, but some can deal more damage.

everyone can take damage, either direct or indirect (pets etc) but some can take more damage.

@SOxKOOL Not really no. The concept of GW2 is that no class is shoe-horned into doing any particular role. All allies can expect is that the Guardian will make the correct choices (Control, Support, Damage) at the right time. This is the expected standard of every Prof. in GW2

And also the most populated profs. will most likely be the warrior/ranger/elementalist. For their raw dmg potential.

@AIONBERSERKER The concept is there, but that doesnt mean one class wont be better at something than another. Guardians are designed to buff up the party for D. Not saying they have to but if you research up on the class most of their spells are designed for that.

When I said what I said about the most populated prof's it was not speculation. Data has already come in from polls, closed beta, and other sources and most people pick (or are picking) guardian.

6: Rebirth: ressurected an ally with 25% health and 0% mana took them to your location it was a 4-6 second cast, it was weaker than all the other ressurections but the only one that let you move the corpse to your location making it very valuble for after fights.

1: forgot name:2SecCast gave u and team 50% chance to block attacks for 10 secs 1 minute cooldown

2: forgot:1SecCast healed u for a certain large amount each time you were attacked for 10 seconds 45 second cooldown

3: Reversal fortune 1/4SecCast Negates next damage and heals you for it instead 5 sec cd

4: aoe heal 1 sec cast 10 sec cd

@chlckIetto They're not really shouts, my dear. Virtues are more like buffs. Guardians are just a melee/magic mixed class. They have heals, buffs, magic attacks, and melee attacks, like all paladins do. That's why they're called guardians. Their purpose is to guard. xD Paras were completely support. Guardians are classified as a support class, but they're really not. They hold their own better than most classes, which is why I'm making one asap.

@SaschiaSlytherin My opinion would be kind of biased being as I adore the elementalist. But the guardian from what I see is basically a caster who's on steroids so it can take hits. The guardian also seems to specialize in controlling the movement of enemies too with walls, bubbles etc. The elementalist is all about utility and changing tactics and strategies to fit the current situation. I can't tell you which is better because they are equal so just go with what your desire tells you to :3

@Jamesns Apparently you didn't listen closely. What he said was given the party a buff which blocks 1 attack every 30 seconds and than puts the skill in a 2 minute cooldown. Which means it takes 2 minutes before he can use the skill again and not every 2 minutes block one attack.

@Arceusvids I definetly agree with Rawr, even though Guild Wars 1 didnt have more then 8 skills on a bar it was possible to use the skills with each other, like a ranger using fiery arrows then using the elementalist skill for inscreasing firedamage and then using one profession for complimenting the primary. this can mean great AoE from a barrage of fiery arrows or extremely consistent singletarget dps for keeping pressure on a target.

In GW2 it will be less, but player ideas may change the use
