No, that's NOT the skip shift. This was a common issue for the 2010-11 M6 SS. The 2012's have updated carbon syncro's so this doesn't happen. There's even a TSB on it. Check Camaro5 before posting random, retarded speculation.

The point of the skip shift was to stop people from racing the cars, alltho the Dealers would say that it "Saved Gas." I have a 99 Z28 and I got my Skip Shift eliminated.
hey dude ive got a 2011 1ss with a 6 speed manual. the same thing happened to me a lot so far, even on hard acceleration runs. it doesnt do it every time, but ive brought it in a couple times already and they have sort of beat around the bush on ways to get me out of there. i knwo transmissions are a touchy subject with dealers, but now i can hear the sound of what sounds like metal pieces moving around in my trans when im in 1st 2nd and 3rd. its not violent however but sounds like sand.

Mine did the same thing. Told dealer I wouldn't take anything less than a new trans. Lost 2nd gear on the drive home after buying the car. Got the new trans and all is good. Tremec the trans manufacturer was to blame. Put 22000 miles on it and it has been great.

After watching the video again, it really sounds like the skip shift feature is trying to lock out second gear so you have to shift to 4th. I can't tell you why the lock out isn't working unless you tuned out the skip-shift.
@ColdCamaroSS It's stock, no skip-shift eliminator. When it grinds the D.I.C. never flashes 1-4 skip shift? It's going in today again, hopefully they can fix it!
