Why would you want 2 rings on a 2 cycle engine? Fact is 2 rings cause more friction, friction means more heat this means more fuel, along with more ware on the cylinders. Echo's carbs are adjustable if you have the correct tools and the blower will have more power once the ring seats.
echos have no power. my homelite blower has 28 cc and could kick this echos ass. if ur gonna invest 169 bucks in a blower, invest it in a stihl, they are A LOT better
I agree! Stihl is also American Made and won't fall apart as many others do. Had my Stihl BG55 for over 4 yrs now and use it at FULL power almost daily and never a problem. VERY POWERFUL (not ball less as the ECHO) and get's the job done! Unlike the ECHO single ring piston, the Stihl has TWO Rings ( less rocking going on) and also uses ball bearing mains. The Stihl BG85 has more horse power,
@Mightylite94 They have no power because of the shitty ass carburetors they put on them. If you put an adjustable walbro on it and adjust it it will have a lot more power and torque. And the vortec engines from Echo have 1 piston ring dude, the tornado engines have 2.
@1972FordF150 true, but why should anyone have to do that and spend tht money on better equipment for the engine, you know. anyway, thanks man and peace out!
did u know gas powered leaf blowers are illegal in some places like LA where i live. u could use battery powered blowers instead of corded. i still use gas blowers for heavy duty work and battery powered for light duty
I just got the PB251 from Home Depot last night. The owner's manual says to use 89 octane gas with the Echo 2 cycle oil that was provided mixed in a 50:1 ratio.
If I were to use 87 octane is there any chance that that would harm the engine in any way?
I haven't done it. I'm just asking thinking that you might know.
Very nice, I am torn between this model and the backpack. only $100 differance. For a house this one is perfect, would you agree or should the bigger one be better?
It it heavy

no... it really wouldn't harm the engine but the engine DOES run cooler with 89 octane then 87 so use 89
1972FordF150 2 years ago
I got 1 gallon of 89 octane fuel. 2.6oz ounces of Echo Power Blend oil was mixed 50:1.
Thanks for the reply!
