This song always gives me chills. I love the sound of chains that is laced in to the rythm of the song, it parrallels perfectly the theme of no grave being able to hold him down. Cash, a believer in Christ, was well aware of the passages in the Bible of Christ taking away the sting of death; breaking the chains which made us slaves to sin and death and making us slaves to righteousness. Absolutely beautiful how the sound has a part in telling the story of the song.
