I forgot that Fleischer might have swung or all along made up his mind to vote for Stern who's one of his many hand-picked cronies during AAAD/USADSF days. We know it's now moot.

Who knows the other candidates are flying in this weekend? Some aspects of candidates lives are kept private for as long as possible. Not any different than us keeping some aspects of your life private. Hate to say this but sans Fleischer there's one vote less for your favorite--Rosen. Don't you forget this!

I won't be satisfied until Fleischer resigns from the USADSF Presidency. Letting his current term expire sends the wrong lame-duck, saving-face message. I know Deaf leaders and educators are awed by Fleischer. They're held accountable if they don't force USADSF's hand. Dr. Beth Scoggins is one among mentored by Fleischer. Don't forget Shirley Platt and cronies involved with AAAD/USADSF. Many were warned after the fiasco of summer of 1996. Ignored! Karma bites!

I was told that US Deaf Sports Federation is debating about kicking Fleischer off the Board.

The owner, some editors and *some participants* are at fault for the colossal mess involving DeafRead and DeafVideo. Some participants from both sides alienated participants. Don't forget the facilitators of failure are sometimes users.

Can any of you ascertain that the decision to remove the plaque actually lies with one of RIT's boards, not the NTID, hence the lengthy process? Think before shooting bullets. Perhaps Hurwitz was in favor of removal only that he had navigational issues to deal with. RIT's a really big school. Candidates have their share of controversies. Who don't?

It was learned that Fleischer's fate was sealed when the tenants first came forward with evidence. The rest is an afterthought. It needs to show in black-and-white on the record that Fleischer was ousted. Resigning won't cut it.

Which one for Gallaudet President? One who favors putting in much more tougher admission and academic standards. I don't care about enrollment numbers even if the Gallaudet athletic program moves to a future NCAA Division IV which may be formed if the NAIA soon merge.

All we can do is just sit back and hope that BOT will make the right selection this Sunday. All candidates will either make people happy or sad but hopefully not enough to create a protest again this time.

I hope not Hurwitz! Too bad that Larry Fleischer was removed from the Board. That is one less Deaf voice on the board, and that means one more Hearing and Hearing-centered vote for Hurwitz.... ugh. He's a nice guy but he is TOO status quo! Will not change Gallaudet in a new Deaf-centered direction!

Hi Ricky...

I talked with one friend of mine who's a professor at Gallaudet last night and I asked this person what the his/her preference re: Gallaudet Prez. S/he said Dr. Hurwitz because his goals are more realistic and more concrete on some issues that Gallaudet is having. Roz, she has some bad blood when she was a Provost, Stern thinks Gallaudet is a Deaf School but it's actually an University. Steve Weiner is too "bullet pointed" to be more accurate on his goals. Interesting, eh?

I know Dr Alan Hurwitz and his wife Vicki personally and professionally. I have utmost respect for Dr Alan. As for AGB plague, yes I do remember there were issues about removal. Dr. Alan was accused of making this really a "slow process". Actually Dr. Alan is a very considerate fellow and always make decisions very carefully and thoroughly as possible. I know he will make Gallaudet proud. If he becomes the president, I would be first on line to congratulate him.

I hope you guys who have misgivings about him, give him a chance to see what he has to offer to Gallaudet University. He's NO IKJ nor JKF!

ironic that Tayler now support AGB philsophy because he approved many andm many blogs that support CI, AVT etc. I am glad that I did not thank him for his participation at NTID...do not want to make myself fool... Later MZ removed my comments without checking with me first to clarify why I made specific comments...quite obvious she is audist. If Hurwitz is to be next selected...we have blood on our hands since he ignored many cries about AGB statute until it became public.

I agree with you all the way. MZ e-mailed and wanted to chat with me on VP say about two years ago...can't remember...but my instinct told me not to vp with her...Glad I did not because she carried many knives and stabbed DBC when they had rally/workshops in Wisconsin. Tayler approved MZ as Editor to write many blogs talked ugly things about DBC good cause. MZ scolded me in public that I did not thank Tayler for his participation to remove AGB statute which I had no idea about his involvement...

Oh shi-- if anybody do that with my other emails, I'm in deep trouble too since I almost *never* check those emails. Like you, I only use gmail. That's very ehm immature of MZena to insult you like that, she should have given you 2nd chance and be more understanding. What I mean is, come on, everyone have their dead email addy. My reason, I use them mostly as a spam box; hence, there's no point for me to check them at all. I hate spams! Insane. I like the film in the start, fits you I think. ;)
