I used to get that dirty as a child. I would also do like that little boy with the ice cream cone. Bite the bottom out. The only thing that weirded me out were the altar boys. Leaving the church, especially after all the allegationsof Priest's molesting Altar boys for years
Each year, thousands of animals die in Procter & Gamble laboratories -- the victims of painful, archaic and entirely unnecessary product tests. Caustic chemicals are forced into the eyes of rabbits and applied to animals' shaved and raw skin.
Laboratory workers place the animals in restraining devices so they cannot struggle while the workers apply the chemicals, which burn into the animals' eyes and skin.
i remember xk. alot of products back then added letters to their name to make it sound like there was a secret ingredient. like colgate with mfp i think it was.
I live in California and I remember the New Generation Tide XK because my mother was always using Tide no matter what version came out. I use to use Oxydol and finally Gain
Tide XK was phased out during 1975--at least it was in St. Louis--and the boxes sold there went from "Tide XK" straight to "New Generation"...this may have been a test-market ad where they tried a transitional box with both names on the box. P & G often ran different ads for the same product in different markets (you could tell because they flashed "Available in limited areas" at the botton of the screen)...
Tide XK contained enzymes. New Generation Tide did not. P & G put enzymes in all its laundry products except Cheer and Dreft in 1968-69 (Tide XK, Enzyme Dash, Bonus "new enzyme detergent," Oxydol Plus (what the bleach didn't get out, the enzyme pre-soaker did...), Gain with "micro enzyme action," and there was even an Enzyme Duz! But by 1973, with the widespread furor over enzymes and phosphates, the enzymes were quietly dropped--thus it was a "new generation" Tide...
Tide is awesome, not the Miz.

Tide and other detergents have been improved so often that they should clean clothes just by being in the same room with them.

You're right pinsocks, Tide XK has enzymes in 1968 while New Generation Tide was introduced between late 1975 and early 1976.
samoyed81966 4 years ago
the "XK" was the enzymes the had in Tide then.and New generation Tide came here in late 1975/1976.I used to use Cheer back then.

Was this from the early 1970's when Tide still had "XK" on the label? Also: What was NEW GENERATION Tide like?
