the inventory was designed to hold the maximum possible number of items possible. You can't carry more than 255 rubies or more than 8 bombs (12 or 16 depends if you got one or both of the bomb increases)

@sqrr2461 The is a port for the GBA and on the Wii Virtual Console, I don't know where you would find the Gold NES cartridge.

Part of what made this game fun was finding stuff on your own, back then there was no Gamefaqs and having internet access at home wasn't common so pretty much you were on your own.

The hidden items are not needed in Quest I, just what you find in dungeons and only some.

To get the White Sword you need five hearts, later on to get the Magical Sword you will need twelve hearts.

Yes, I've finished this game more times than I can remember. After awhile I started to make challange runs like green tunic only on the actual NES.

FYI dude don't get the blue ring til after you get the red. Then you will get the white ring. Same defence as red just harder to get, and looks sweet.
