The influence of ancient teachings in my formative and foundational years has me recalling "The Great Central Sun is the Source from whence we all have come." The "Sacred Fire" was depicted as violet/purple and was 'called into action' for purification purposes. And yes, we are a spark or 'individualized Presence of God." Our Presence knows only our perfection and has a "great storehouse of energy" we may access via free will.
