oh btw i have a pc. never owned a mac. but i can assure you. i only had pc problems when i was like 8 and i was given my first windows 98 computer. so um yeah. 8. i havent had all of the, we will call them silly, problems that most people have these days with pc's. you just have to have some intelligence and Wa la! your pc works like it was designed to. "good" and for more than just games.
well i am so sorry you cannot handle a pc. the question is how much did you pay for the pc. and then how much did you pay for your mac. if you payed more for the mac. i suggest you go to the store and buy a pc at the sme price. and try not to purposely break it because of your biased feeling against them.

Also, flash crashes on macs, and you only get viruses if you like to pirate software, and you only get spyware if you look at porn, so whatever. Windows 7 and Windows XP (Let's just pretend Vista never existed, yes?) is compatible with basically everything, and there is a reason why Windows users don't need or crave a Window's Bootcamp to run Mac. We don't need one.
I never had a mac, I have a pc with windows 7 and I totally recommend it.
Mac: Very good for video and audio editing. You don´t have to worry about viruses. It´s something special and a nice computer. But there are limitations on software.
PC: Good for both working, editing and gaming. Easy to use and no problems. If you choose Vista, there maybe occurs some problems and isn´t the best OS. Choose Windows 7. I thick that I´m more a PCman then MacMan :)
ok, there is no one size fits all computer. there are always trade offs. you have to get a computer built for your needs. if you want a laptop, chances are that you will not be gaming so a mac would probably be better. if you want something for gaming or programming or things of that nature that are taxing on your computer, your best bet is a pc. i personally prefer pc's because i'm a gamer and i like that you can keep upgrading your rig, a feature that macs do not have.
wow funny same thing happened to me my hp kept breaking the power adapter port finally they gave me a new one so i just sold that and got my macbook pro mostly for the hardware qulity until i saw how great os10 is fast reliable and just works. i am still a pc fan i am a network engineer but it is nice to just use something that works and is well though out so i give apple and A+++++ and really pc is great but Microsoft needs to stop making things pretty "VISTA" and just make them work :XP:

Not all PC's break and crash. Have you looked at the computer's spec. It could be not enough RAM. Or a crappy graphics card. I have used a Dell Dimension XPS T700r and never, NEVER has Windows XP crashed. And I have used it to dual boot with RedHat and still no trouble. You can't dis Windows if the HP you buy is crap. Thats the manufacture's fault, not Windows. Plus, you can't install most of the Mac os's on a pc. But linux can run on either because open-source is better.
2. It does everything better, starting with the UNIX Kernel, with the SMP, with the Distributed Computing built right in the core of the os... and you can do better video, photo and audio editing... even games better... they goes 30% faster with the Mac OS Leopard's OpenGL Engine. Can't see why i should buy a PC.
we have 7 computers in our house, and recently we added a mac. It's the kind of all of the Windows computers. Apple is sweet. Sweet..sweet! They keep it clean, and they layout is like a cartoon.
On another note, apparently PC is better for games and Mac is for stuff like Photoshop and work (like you said)

As an American working in Japan, I am in a multi-language environment. Macs are clearly better for operating in places where you use/need more than one language. My windows friends have so much trouble getting drivers and apps working in the language of their OS, where as on a mac, that is never a problem.
Mac are good for artists. Film, music, graphics, and publishing and general end user type stuff. PC are best for business users and there are way more applications for Windows which is one of the reasons why Windows crashes alot. You are more likely to run into badly written code.
I use a mac at work in an windows environment and have no problems. I can interact with the windows network and I have never had problems getting business apps for mac. And should I ever have that problem, I could always boot up in windows too. No probs.
I think pc is better, since i have allways used that. I can't say anything about the mac though.
My laptop, wich has pretty good looks, is working great, and it's pretty old (One year or so.) So i dont think you need a mac for work and stuff, mine works perfectly fine :)
But, i have heard that pc is better game machines anyway ^^

I have both and love my Mac! I have to use both but mostly Mac. PC is used to print stuff. You got it, PC for work, Mac for photos, movies. PC for MP3 player stuff too. Don't have ipod although I wish I did. Go guy!

My parents has pc, they are very clueless about computers. As for me, I had 4 mac's. 2 ibooks (clamshell, snow) 1 powermac 7100(still in use) and 1 powerbook.
I use my Powerbook G4 for everything, movies, art, surfing, chatting. Listening to Music! I am too the point I need a desktop mac, so I can do more on that and less on the powerbook, but still use the powerbook for on the go stuff. It might be 2 years old, but its still fast for what I need it to do
none is better than the other.. its just a matter of personal choice. keep in mind that a mac is a pc,,it is just a different os.. in my opinion tho, mac's are waaaay too expensive.. i can get a screaming pc for half the cost of the average mac and have money left over to goof off with.
