Slow it down a bit,I think the particles stop due to the bake frames being set to 1-250, increase it (under particles system, bake tab), maybe that will work :) the animation is good, it's just too fast to see it properly.

No, if the bake settings were too short, the particls would halt altogether. The emitter ceases to emit too early, that's the problem.
