You're right; Snape did have a very unfair life. After finishing DH and then rereading the Order of the Phoenix; during the chapter Snape's Worst Memory I actually burst into tears for it truly revealed just how unfair his life was. Read it again and see

Thanks! You know...I've had this fleeting idea lately. As much as they've changed things in the HP movies, I wonder if they'd ever change the ending of DH and Snapes death. Maybe it could be Severus with his wife and son (instead of Draco) that Harry sees on the platform 19 years later. Wouldn't that be a hell of a way to end the series? ;) I would literally faint right there if that happened....literally. Will it? Who knows....in a perfect world Sev would get his happy ending somehow!

Here's the movie review from the slightly wierd Alan Rickman fan site, for both Harry Potter 1 and An Awfully Big Adventure: A guy (Rickman) who wears a long, greasy black wig, is at odds with a younger man named Potter. Potter wears a red and gold scarf and round glasses, and is mean to the guy. Potter eventually wins. Other characters in this movie include a woman named Lily and chubby fellow named Uncle Vernon.

I agree....I actually think that Sev's story is much much deeper than Harry's. I agree that the epilogue did seem like a fairytale Disney ending......after how dark HBP and DH were.....it seemed too light. I did think it was endearing that Harry named his son after Severus......however, I would have gone with just Severus....can you imagine being named Albus Severus Potter for the rest of your life?!? Just go with Severus......much nicer! :)

JKR once said that Snape resembles a former teacher of hers. Maybe she tried to get back at her teacher somehow by making Snape's life completely horrible? Like some sort of therapy. I dunno if I remember correctly though.

I'm still so mad at JKR. Snape deserved a much better life. He was my all-time-favorite character. I still try to deny his death and think that he survived.
