  • "I'm an individual in a consumer machine. Ain't gonna give and take. Ain't gonna give in."

Do you think Billy Idol ever wakes up these days and realizes how ironic it is that he sang those lyrics in his youth? lol

  • This track IS called New Order ... I was there back in the day and it's known for years this is called New Order ... not save my life.

  • God I wish I was the guy in the crowd @ 0:42. He's my hero.

  • Sure s shit, I see Sid and a few others back there. How I wish I wasnt on my moms tit in these days.

  • sid, nancy, and billy idol (from the future) are all like wtf :o

  • fantastic post,thank you!

  • Well actually for the "Real Kids" here, the bootleg demo you are referring to was miss-titled by the person who made it, the reason for that was there was no official release of the song until 1991, when the greatest hits package "Perfect Hits was released, with the song "New Order" included. The bootleg was put out with no knowledge of the song's actual title, so it was just a guess, based on the lyrics.

  • Generation X -Track 12, official recorded, released version of "New Order", Billy Idol, with Generation X.

  • More "history" (just for the kids)

Billy Idol with red hair = early demos = "Save My Life".

Billy Idol with blond hair = official Chrysalis Records release = final version, titled "New Order".

It's the same song, and THIS VERSION IS "Save My Life".

  • @DeeArtist321 hey... do you by any chance have the lyrics?

  • @DeeArtist321 I just wish they knew that there's a song from Generation X that's called "New Order"... Unfortunately, it's not that way. Kids don't even know Generation X, and who knows them doesn't know the album "Kiss Me Deadly". And who knows Kiss Me Deadly doesn't know "New Order" or "No No No". Fucking youth.

  • @DeeArtist321 hey DeeArtist321 Thanks for upload. Where can I buy this video? Love this version of the song. Gen X's eponymous first album is my all time favorite punk album--english version is my preference since Listen is as good as anything they ever did, in my opinion. Thanks again.

  • I do not need to read a description of what I have owned for over Twenty Five years, a bootleg of the demo of the song "New Order", not save my life, by Billy Idol's early punk band Generation X.

  • Great Early Gen X Billy clip, the name of the song is "New Order", not "save my life".

  • @DARKNEMESIS9000 Read the video description. Click the link. Read the covers. Thank you.

  • banging on bout sid and nancy ffs,no wonder it all went down hill.tragic, real music for real people not hero worship

  • Fantastic!

  • You can see Sid & Nancy at frame 1:30 behind the stack.

  • Sid vicious is standing behind the band,no shit.

  • he has brown hair i heard him say he died it but i have never seen him with brown hair before just saying

  • I got not a idea what people saying is punk rock howadays. That's punk rock, end of the story.
