This was the season that brought back Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing. Dack Rambo's days as Jack Ewing were numbered. This was the season that picked up were Bobby asked Pam to remarry him, they sleep together and in the morning he takes a shower and when she "awakens" from her "bad dream" she finds him showering and tell him all about how she had dreamed that he had died. Classic!!!

If it is coming back, I will bet that they'll suck and not stay on the air for very long.

So far, relaunches of popular 80's TV shows have largely been spectacular failures.

With today's "talent" behind and in front of the camera on television and even film, there's just no way you can ever get the same quality and charm the original shows had which was so endearing to audiences.

This theme is my fav of all of the seasons...I had such an awesome time at the 30th Dallas Reunion back in Nov08! Susan Howard, Charlene Tilton and Linda Gray were dolls! I am a true and loyal fan to this show! Grew up watching it with my parents and never missed an episode:)

I remember reading an interview with composer Jerrold Immel and he said he made this special version of the theme as a tribute to Donna and Ray (it can be heard during their credits) and the problems they had since the dreamseason never happened.

Man .... this theme sooo reminds me of my childhood! This show was aired in Bangladesh back in the early '80s when I was a kid :) I remember only being allowed to watch the theme .... and not the show back then coz my parents declared that the show was for "adults only" :-)

I used to LOVE hearing this theme!! ... and since then ALWAYS wanted to discover Dallas! :-) lol

Dallas the best city in the world? I find that hard to believe. It hardly even looks like a city, more of a large surface parking lot. Maybe I'm missing something here because I've never visited the place. Closest I've been was Atlanta which was plenty dull.

@MCGeest - I lived in Dallas a year and it's a gorgeous city. Los Angeles, where I live now, is a parking lot. In 1987, you could walk anywhere in downtown Dallas - it was a people city, not for cars.

FANTASTIC. although I am only 23, I have watched every episode from 1978-1991.. and I use to live 5 min away from the original Southfork Ranch located in Frisco, TX - you will notice the first couple of episodes were filmed a house that subsequently burned down. Lorimar productions then had to frantically search for another "look-alike" property - to which they found the Southfork you see today in Wylie, TX - just 20-25 min north of Dallas.
