  • Lost my shit at the executive producer.

  • END OF RINE.

  • Lost it at Hamburger Helper.

  • :'(

  • The annotation in the beginning was pretty funny.

And holy crap, the guy looking down as if he was ashamed of Dragon Age 2 was amazing. The best part of the video imo.

  • Yeah, and WoWtanic sank 7 years ago. Oh wait...

  • I can't believe I just got tricked into watching the Titanic's trailer

  • @highflyingdwarf I laughed so hard my sides are hurting

  • Lol, haters gonna hate.

  • The best SHIT... EVER!

  • @070000591

I think she only wrote some romance stuff and I think something in the smuggler line

  • This is 3/4 of the trailer, the rest is day one DLC

  • @knighthonor44 That is hamburger helper, a gentle cetacean who wishes only to consume large quantities of plankton and create poorly written romance scenes where they do not make sense.

  • @MandaloreGaming

Cetaceans are more advanced than humans (spiritually), im not sure she is.

  • @MandaloreGaming Did Jennifer Hepler create the storyline for SWTOR? If so, she did a great job. Story was the only thing that was not complete BS in the game.

  • @MatEntertainment

Damn dude, did bioware kill your parents or something?

  • Oh god my sides.

  • first warhammer online and then TOR, it appears theres some sort of recurring theme here involving ea, good companies (well previously good companis) and mmos, just can't put my finger on it

  • Lol funny video. Who that at 1:20 the lady? Also at 1:30?

  • Oh wow, little troll. Went and created some other dummy YouTube accounts, have we? Time for some fun!!

  • @TheRedavian Funny Creation You are, look for DJ Harbringer and give him all the credits.

  • Havent played the game myself and since im a former wow player

    Tell me

Are there any real issues with the game other than the mechanics being similar/identical to wow?

Because tbh ill just buy myself a subscription for a good 3-5 months, play it on and off till it expires then just wait for stuff like Borderlands 2 to come out

  • @kea919306 Just look at what people are saying online and on the official forums before getting banned for criticism. Ghost towns asking for server merges, removing the unsubscribe button to keep players from cancelling, shitting on the lore KoTOR and KoTOR 2 established.

Don't even bother buying a subscription. They'll just try to fuck you over by removing the unsubscribe button again or worse. It's EA.

  • @Taiyou42 The only legitimate grievances you said were the ghost towns and the unsubscribe option

I dont use a credit card for this sort of things and ffs i played wow for over 5 years on multiple servers with gross unbalance

Silvermoon EU anyone?Alliance to Horde ratio is something akin to 40 to 1.

Try doingany outdoor pvp achievements there

    Shitting on the Lore?

Fuck that the lore got screwed up since the phantom menace

So the only grievance is the unsubscribe button (which was fixed

  • @kea919306 Phantom Menace's sillyness has nothing to do with KoTOR and Revan. The disappointing design choices they chose to take is still a legitimate grievance, as is the horrible administration. If you don't care about the story, that's fine.

And if you really trust them to not pull another stunt to prevent unsubscriptions, that's your freedom.

  • @Taiyou42 didnt play kotor so i cant say how much it screws up its own lore

Horrible administration as is EAs abysmall support service is a huge deal i agree

I still havent seen criticism about the actual mechanics

I can understand though if people are angry over the fact that its similar to wow but from what ive heard and seen thats true: its wow but better

and if that doesnt give it a reason to exist i dont know what does

  • "Obiwan to bioware": YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE, IT WAS YOU WHO WOULD BRING BACK EA TO ITS FORMER GLORY NOT START MAKING BAD GAMES YOURSELF

  • @elmalhermano

    i love that comic

  • Bioware, the worst fucking game company ever. Shazbot!

  • I'll never log off...

  • Bioware, creators of two great games, KoToR 1 and NWN 1. May the rest of them not go on in my heart.

  • the story isnt even that good too. every class has the same story same quest etc.... this game has no retention and i dont see people playing it long term at all

  • @To0t fuck, age of conan had a better story if you ask me.

  • Fucking 10/10

    well done

  • @QuiteDrunk76 Millions of people eat MacDonalds, that doesn't mean it isn't shit.

  • @QuiteDrunk76 Twilight has millions of fans and makes assloads of cash, I guess it's amazing and the finest literature of the century and the best film series ever

  • @dragonknight337 lol what your really saying is that if people dont like and agree with the same shit as you then they must be wrong? get the fuck over yourself, there is such thing as personal preferance, one mans trash is another mans treasure and what it really boils down to is how you can relate to what you find enjoyment out of, nearly 2 million people enjoy SWTOR enough to pay the sub so why not just let them get on with it and draw their own fucking conclusions?

  • @QuiteDrunk76 Actually I do, it's not like I go on the forums and bash it, I just troll it here with like minded individuals. It's just sad the once great KOTOR series died and spawned a mediocre single player RPG with an outdated mmo spacing out story parts.

  • @QuiteDrunk76

Glad you enjoy the game. But i think a reaction as tortanic is pretty mild compared to how the game sucks in my opinion. Lets not hate each other..

  • SWTOR is an example of the bad things from SWG and WOW combined. The issue/bug list is like you never seen before the worlds are static and dead with useless travel times/loading screens and the game is a big maze .

Wish swtor was a good game though but it isn't from the char selection screen to end game. 80 euros thrown away (game card and game). Even before the game was released you could see, even the swtor website lacks much with 2 pixel full screen videos etc.

  • Lost it at 1:20

  • 0:44

    fucking perfect.

  • SWTOR IS A DEAD GAME.

  • swtor.com/server-status TORTANIC (status "very heavy"=3000)

  • @xxxXdragonXxxx lol true, it really is true.

  • @BoyofmanyNames I see it. It's under Biochem.

    Bioware is commiting MMO suicide.

  • hilarius!

    p.s. cancelled my sub with 2 50s.

  • @ElnAlter Yeh,but this video is an opinion.Mandalore is saying SWTOR is a "Sinking ship"

    but in a lol way

  • I BAN RUUU END OF RHINEE

  • the brain dead game design by the idiots at Bioware where players finished the content in just a couple weeks.

The completely dead and lifeless world.

The broken and botched combat/animation system in the game.

The utter ineptitude that Bioware has show with customer service and communication.

The botched 1.1 patch fiasco that biodrones were screaming about would fix the game.

EA wasted 200 million on this turd of a MMORPG, 700 million on the idiots at Bioware.

    Biggest fiasco in MMORPGs ever.

  • The Tortanic fiasco just keeps getting better and better. The desperation of the biodrones attempts to convince the world their turd of a MMORPG isn't a dead pile of fail is a non-stop source of entertainment.

    The empty servers.

The players screaming for server merges.

The lame and poorly animated movies bolted onto the game that everyone spacebars through.

The completely botched PVP part of the game.

    The horrendous framerates.

    The laughably outdated graphics.

    (to be continued)

  • @BrendaSLV I totally agree, and there is more, but the graphics are OK and I also think the movies bolted into the game aren't that bad, but yes they should have an off button. Especially the Baron Deathmark in huttball, he should really have an off button.

  • If the game was run by a good company, they could fix it. it's a poor rip off from WoW right now. If Bioware would fix the PvP situation, make voidstar bomb take 3 seconds to arm instead of 8, give buffs to the team with less people on ilum, improve space combat, stop ban spree like it's North Korea the MMO, stop censoring forum threads, fix the millions of bugs in the game, the game could still be good. But Bioware is stupid and they never listen to their customers and will never fix their game

  • TORtanic, the epic sequel to WAR/11.

  • HURR DURR SWTOR SUCKS IT IS THE WORST GAME EVER, IS DYING AND HAS ONLY 300k SUBS! EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES IS A BIODRONE!!!

  • Hell, I'm pretty sure half the haters KNOW SWTOR has 1.7 million subs, and know that it isn't dying. Seems to me like they're just trying to convince everyone else that it is.

  • @darthvader7888 seems to me you are trying to convince people it isn't dying. well, the only way to find out is to wait and see.

  • @070000591

Nope, I can clearly see that it isn't dying (like I already proved to you on that other video), as can any unbiased person. It seems to me that haters like you are trying to convince people that it is.

But yes, we'll just have to wait and see.

  • @darthvader7888 It seems to me like you biodrones are trying to convince yourselves how good your crappy ship is. everyone, including me, proved to you that it is sinking and the 1.7 million subs is a lie. look at top comment. also, look at this graph.

    imageshack(dot)us/photo/my-images/853/89696704(dot)jpg/

  • @070000591

1.7 million subs isn't a lie, they said it during an investor call, and they CANNOT lie to investors. That graph is about the number of people on at one time, and has little to do with the total number of subs.

The only people trying to convince anyone of anything is haters trying to convince everyone that SWTOR is dying. No unbiased person would claim that the 1.7 million is a lie. Not when it was stated during a call to investors.

  • @darthvader7888 Yes, they cannot. They also cannot remove the unsubscribe button and the link to it, but they did. and a game's success is measured by the people on at a time. Runescape has 150 million accounts, so it's the best game ever according to you. Also, yea, here we go again, someone doesn't like the game and sees reason means they are a hater.

  • @070000591

I don't care if you don't like the game. That's fine. But if you ACTUALLY think it's dying, or that the 1.7 million subs is a lie, then you are an irrational hater.

As for your unsub button claim, proof or it didn't happen.

Anyways, if you seriously think that 1.7 million is a lie, then give me proof that it's a lie. Or a source. Besides some graphs about the number of players on at one time (it's not like everyone plays at the same time).

  • Comment removed

  • @070000591

active players doesn't mean the number of people on at one time. It's not like everyone is on at the same time. A graph showing that 250-300k are online at one time doesn't mean much. Not to mention that graph you showed me only shows the US population.

Anyways, on mmo-junkies, it says there are about 400k on worldwide at a time. 400k/1.7 mil is about 25%, which sounds about right.

Unless you give me proof that 1.7 mil subs is a lie, then your claim is invalid.

  • @darthvader7888 you already got like 10 responses that proved that 1.7 million subs is a lie. You are ignoring other people's facts and just clinging on to your own irrational opinion. Also, the EU graph shows the same thing, so really it's your claim that is invalid.

  • @070000591

no one "proved" that 1.7 million subs is a lie. No one gave any source or anything like that to prove that 1.7 million subs is a lie. Just bullshit claims. Bullshit claims by irrational haters =/= proof.

  • @darthvader7888 bullshit claims by biodrones =/= proof.

I'm just gonna sit back and wait to see how the game turns out.

  • Comment removed

  • @darthvader7888 bullshit claims by biodrones =/= proof.

Whatever, the only way to find out is to see if in 3 months the game's population decreases to almost nothing. It might not go f2p. SWG didn't until the very end, even though it was dying. My server is already a ghost town for both republic and empire in swtor. 8 players on hoth at peak hours, and that was a week ago so I did not rush levels.

  • Comment removed

  • im sorry but i have looked all around the internet for an answer but cant find one i understand. what i want to know is what is TORtanic and whats it about i know its related to bioware and the old republic.

  • @charliestickman

Some haters/trolls are calling SWTOR "TORtanic," (referring to the titanic) saying it's failing/dead, etc. It's all BS.

  • @darthvader7888 i see that part makes alot of sense buti dont whats with the mass effect and bioware refferences and whos the girl with the glasses

  • Comment removed

  • @darthvader7888 umm yea. Just because someone doesn't like a game is indesputable proof that they are a troll and a hater. I completely agree. 95% of the people who played SWTOR are stupid trolls and haters. SWTOR is a game that cannot fail, despite them already having lost a ton of subscriptions. SWTOR cannot fail because it's run by Bioware, and everything Bioware touches turns into solid gold right?

  • @070000591

Then I suppose just because someone likes SWTOR is indisputable proof that they are fanboys/biodrones. Or because they think it isn't dying (even though statistics and facts say it isn't). 95%? lmao, pull all the numbers out of your ass that you want, it changes nothing. "lost a ton of subscriptions"? Again, stop pulling shit out of your ass. They sold 2 million copies and have 1.7 million subs, meaning an 85% retention rate. That's great for an MMO.

  • @darthvader7888 yeah nigger keep on believing on that go suck bioware dick

  • @Xunited100

Got anything to refute my arguments? No, you don't, coz I'm using facts and statistics, while all you're using is insults.

Face it, SWTOR has 1.7 million subs, it is not dying, and that is a fact.

At this point, only the most deluded of haters would say that SWTOR is "dying" or "sinking." Will it die in 3, 6 or 12 months? Highly unlikely, but possible.

Whether you like the game or not, you can't deny it's current success, nor can any unbiased person say it's "dead."

  • @darthvader7888 the subs counted from the free month trial.this is why your called biodrone HURR DURR THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE NO GLITCH AT ALL SHUT DA FUCK UP!!END OF RINE!!

  • @Xunited100

The game has some issues and has some glitches, yes (but that's what patches are for), and I know it isn't perfect. The subs are as of February 1st, meaning only people who bought the game after January 1st were on their "free" 30 days (which means no more than 300k). And it didn't count people who already unsubbed but are on their free 30 days, but did count people who are on their free 30 days but have entered their credit card info.

  • @darthvader7888 What do you mean SWTOR has objectively bad animations and storytelling? It'll be fixed by launch. There's gonna be a magic patch that fixes everything, really! SWTOR can't be a WoW clone because it has STORY! It will change the face of MMOs forever. The NDA is still up this close to launch to prevent SPOILERS. Bioware has nothing to hide. Everything Bioware touches turns into gold!

THIS IS WHY YOU ARE CALLED BIODRONE!

  • @Xunited100

Liking the game =/= Biodrone. And having raids, dungeons bgs, factions and classes =/= WoW clone.

SWTOR is not perfect, I can see that. Yes it has issues. Yes it has bugs (then again, there's a thing called patches). But it is still a great game, imo.

Why don't you name me an MMO that doesn't have those things I mentioned? Or 5? Or name me 5 things SWTOR took from WoW that most other MMOs don't have?

  • @darthvader7888 liking the game =/= biodrone.

spamming every goddamn tortanic video with fanboyism = biodrone.

  • @070000591

I only commented on 2 "tortanic" videos. And if I were a biodrone, I'd think the game is perfect. I don't.

Like I said, liking the game =/= biodrone.

  • All the effort and money put into this dismal game could have been used to create a solid single player experience (ala KOTOR 3) that would have been remembered by RPG fans everywhere as one of the greatest games ever created.

    What have you done BioWare..

  • Gotta love checking out the offical Tortanic server status screens and seeing half the servers are already dead. And seeing the constant threads in the official forums with players screaming for server merges because their servers are completely dead.

Stick a fork in the Tortanic. It's done.

All that's left is the screaming.

  • 200 million or so blown developing this turd of a MMORPG. 700 million blown buying the crappy Bioware developers.

And at the one month mark, the Tortanic paying subscriptions are so bad that EA won't state what the actual number of PAYING subscribers is. Instead they will only state their idiotic 'active sub' number that includes every single new player in the game even if they go on to cancel their account.

    Money well spent EA!

  • 1 million people might've bought it but that would never cover the budget(200 million dollars or 500 I don't remember) also those are just bought not subs

  • Can someone tell me what to search to find the original clip shown at 1:43?

  • END OF LINE

    BE EXCREMENT TO EACH OTHER

  • @darthvader7888

Look at him. Look at him and laugh.

  • Yep. Warhammer had about 900k subs at the one month mark. It looks like the Tortanic has about the same, maybe a little bit more.

EA has stated that the 1.7 million number includes both paying subscribers and new players. 1 to 1.1 million or so paying players and 600 to 700k new players.

In other words yet another failed WoW killer like Rift and WAR.

Next stop for the Tortanic is FTP.

  • @BrendaSLV

They stated that most of the 1.7 million were already paying subs. Not to mention SWTOR only sold 200-300k after Jan 1st (the rest it sold before then). So at least 1.4-1.5 million paying subs. Not to mention the 1.7 mil doesn't include people on their free month who've already unsubbed (what it does include, are people who have a sub but haven't been billed yet as their free month isn't up).

SWTOR isn't going F2P anytime soon.

  • @darthvader7888 MEANWHILE IN 2008!!

"Warhammer reaches 800k subs and is the fastest growing MMO in HISTORY!!"

  • @darthvader7888 how does it feel to be a biodrone?

  • @Xunited100

I'm not a "biodrone", I'm just stating facts.

But yeah, "TORtanic" will go f2p by June. Coz some random trolls said so.

  • @darthvader7888 Those numbers where taken at before December 31 and before the free month was over and if it's doing so well why are they sending pathetic emails to unsubbed subscribers like me.

  • @MrEduardKhil

Nope, they clearly stated that they CURRENTLY have 1.7 million subs and have sold 2 million copies. It even says on the swtor site that they have sold 2 million copies and have 1.7 million subs "just six weeks after launch." Dec 31st is not 6 weeks after launch. Feb 1st, however, is.

As for the e-mails, proof (screenshot or w/e) or it didn't happen.

Lmao at the desperate haters using the bogus claim of the numbers being as of Dec 31st when they're clearly current.

  • @darthvader7888 I know you're a troll but I'm going to reply anyway, the arrogate on VG charts shows that it sold over 2.1million, which should be the total number of subscribers at present. T was recorded before the free trail period was over and if you look at the stats on many sites you will see that the game was quite popular then, after Jan however the game continues to falter and drop significantly. The pictures you can easily find online if you just look, Google it or go on Gaintbomb

  • @MrEduardKhil

They clearly stated in the investor call that SWTOR CURRENTLY has 1.7 million subs and over 2 million sales. I'm not seeing any significant drop in subs here. "T was recorded before the free trail period was over." Umm.. what exactly was recorded before the trial was over? The sales? Most of the sales were before Jan 20, but that doesn't mean shit, and doesn't change the fact that there are CURRENTLY 1.7 million subs.

You haters really are getting desperate.

  • @darthvader7888

As for the subs, it was not in any way recorded before the free 30 months were over. They clearly stated that they CURRENTLY have 1.7 million subs. It even says on their site that they sold over 2 million and generated 1.7 million subs "six weeks after release." So it makes sense that the data is as of Feb 1st, and not before the free month was up.

  • @darthvader7888 That's why the server trends are all on light and going down, right...? Biodrones are just hilarious.

  • @FeanorBR

The amount of people on at one time have little to do with sub numbers. They've said to investors that there are currently 1.7 million active subs, and they CANNOT lie to investors, so, regardless of the number of people on at a single time, there are 1.7 million subs. Period.

Btw, right now, most US servers are standard, and most EU servers are standard/heavy.

    Haters are just hilarious.

  • @darthvader7888 If it's consistently low, though, it's indicative of lowering subs.

The graphs show trends, not exact numbers. They clearly show the playerbase is declining. If you need more proof check the official forums - filled with complaints of ghost towns and asking for server mergers.

    But hey, 1.7 million!

  • @FeanorBR

Like I said, the number of people on at one time has little to do with actual sub numbers. And the 1.7 million figure is true, as EA CANNOT lie to investors, and they clearly said that the 1.7 million was the number of CURRENT subs. As for the forums, yeah random forum trolls are such a great source (sarcasm).

    But hey, TORtanic!

  • @darthvader7888

and the servers are not consistently light population, they are usually mostly standard/heavy/very heavy at peak hours, especially in EU.

  • @darthvader7888 They didn't lie, they reported the exact numbers they collected at Dec. 31st, which is the fiscal quarter that ended and needed reporting you dumb fuck.

  • @FeanorBR

Umm... no, they said they CURRENTLY have 1.7 million subs and 2 million sales (btw they didn't have that many sales on dec 31st) you dumb fuck. It even says on the SWTOR site that they have 1.7 million subs and 2 million sales 6 weeks after launch (Dec 31st is not 6 weeks after launch, Feb 1st is).

They use words like "currently," "six weeks after launch." and "just over a month" and you still believe that the sub numbers are as of Dec 31st? Wow, you are one deluded hater.

  • @darthvader7888 Ok deluded drone, keep repeating that, maybe it will come true!

  • @FeanorBR

It is true, whether you want it to be or not. The only deluded person here is you.

But whatever dude, you keep repeating your bogus claims, maybe they will come true.

  • 1:30 every fucking time...

  • EA/Bioware FORCES every single player to enter their credit card billing info just to log into the game. So every single player is automatically forced to be a 'sub' even if they never go on to actually go on to become a real paying subscriber.

Hilariously pathetic and desperate for a 200 million dollar game.

The actually paying sub numbers, not the make believe 'active sub' numbers, are so bad EA refuses to release them.

  • You can just imagine in your head the non-gamer bean counters at EA/Bioware sitting in a meeting agreeing to forced everyone to enter their credit card billing info just to play the game so that they can pretend everyone one of those players are 'subs'.

    LOL.

200 million blown on this turd of a WoW clone. 700 million on the crappy Bioware developers.

And players are screaming for server merges before the first month is over.

Stick a fork in the Tortanic.

  • What is hilarious about the Biodrones desperately trying to cling to the bogus 1.7 million number is it isn't even possible. One just has to look at the number of dead and dying servers the Tortanic has to see that even a million subs is most likely too high a numbers.

The forums are filled with players screaming for server merges and transfers of the dead servers. And even people on Heavy servers talk of tiny numbers of people playing on their server.

Stick a fork in the Tortanic.

  • @BrendaSLV

EA told investors they have 1.7 million subs, and they CANNOT lie to investors (it is illegal). So "tortanic" my ass.

The only people desperate here are the haters (desperately trying to prove that the 1.7 million was as of dec 31st or whatever, when it was clearly stated that those were the CURRENT subs).

  • Directly from EA: "now has about 1.7 million active subscribers playing the online multiplayer title, which Brown said represents a mix of users who already have signed up for a paid subscription and users who have given their credit cards over, but have not yet had their paid plans kick in."

The paying subs for the Tortanic are so bad EA is too embarrassed to state them in public. The actual sub numbers have to be bad if EA is inflating their numbers with everyone playing their first month.

  • @BrendaSLV

They've already stated that most of the 1.7 million are not on their free month. Not to mention most of the sales were before January 1st.

  • Lots of fanboys are defending the game with the sub numbers, which is reasonable. However, they don't call it the 90 day window for no reason. Give players another 60 days to hit maximum level and realize how undeveloped the game is. I am absolutely certain this game won't last.

  • I don't even feel sorry for them. that's what every company who completely rips off another game's engine should get.

  • The sub numbers for Bioware's Tortanic are so bad that EA tried to lie about them in their conference call and were caught by a journalist who forced them to admit that, no, the Tortanic doesn't have 1.7 million paying subscribers.

EA was forced to come clean and only half of the 1.7 million were people actually paying for a sub. So the Tortanic has only about 800-900 thousand paying subs.

Which just about the same as Warhammer had after its first month.

Nothing but another crappy WoW clone.

  • @BrendaSLV proof is in the linking.. not blind statements made by internet trolls. But the sad part is.. people will take your word as gospel because they are to stupid to question you.. What a moron.

  • @BrendaSLV

Only 800-900k? Source? I'm pretty sure you're just pulling numbers out of your ass. They've stated that most of the 1.7 million (meaning over 50%) were paying subs. Not to mention SWTOR only sold about 300k after Jan 1st, meaning no more than 300k can be on their free month right now. Besides, it's not like everyone who's on their free month is gonna leave once the free month is up. So, SWTOR has, at the very least, 1.4-1.5 million subs.

    But w/e, haters gonna hate.

  • @darthvader7888

Oh, and the 1.7 million doesn't include people who are on their free month but have already unsubbed. It does, however, include people who have entered their credit card info but haven't been charged yet. And besides, SWTOR only sold around 300k after January 1st, meaning no more than 300k out of the 1.7 million can be on their free trial right now. That means that SWTOR has at least 1.4-1.5 million paying subs.

  • @BrendaSLV

    continued from my last comment...

OMG it has factions! WoW clone! OMG it has raids! WoW clone! OMG it has Bgs! WoW clone! OMG it has classes! WoW clone! OMG it has tank/healer/dps! WoW clone!

Hate to break it to you, but the only things SWTOR "copies" from WoW are things that most, if not all, MMOs have.

  • @darthvader7888 The ignorance in this one is strong.

  • @YuriDude1

Another bullshit comment with nothing to back it up. Then again, I don't really expect much from you haters anymore.

  • TOR's epic failure makes even the saddest tragedy lulzy.

  • @darthvader7888

The ship has over 1.7 million passengers, more than any ship ever had in its first month. "Sinking" my ass.

  • @darthvader7888

    Someone can't read an article.

That statistic is from the third quarter, as in, numbers from December 31st. Also, those "subs" also counted the free month and trial people.

    "Reading comprehension" my ass.

  • SWTOR has 1.7 million subs, which AFAIK is higher than any MMO ever had during its first paid month. "TORtanic" my ass.

  • @darthvader7888 You mean "had", right? That number is from 31st december.

  • @FeanorBR

Nope, they said they CURRENTLY have 1.7 million subs, meaning as of Feb 1, 2012. Want more proof? They also said they sold 2 million. And they didn't sell 2 million by Dec 31st.

  • @darthvader7888 Read this biodrone

    marketwatch[DOT]com/story/electronic-arts-reports-q3-fy12-financial-results-2012-02-01

The report is for their Q3 fiscal results, a period that ended on 31st Dec. That's what the data alludes to. Get some reading comprehension. If they had that many subs, they would be proudly parading it with no ambiguity to every corner of the earth.

  • @FeanorBR

Oh, so I'm a "biodrone" for having a different opinion than you or for not thinking SWTOR is dead? They reported their profit and loss for Q3. Doesn't mean their other data was for Q3. They clearly stated that they CURRENTLY have 1.7 million subs (meaning as of Feb 1). They've also stated that they sold 2 million and 1.7 million subs in just over a month. Dec 31st is not just over a month. Feb 1 is.

As for your point on sub retention, they retained 85%. Pretty good imo.

  • @darthvader7888 It seems like biodrones cannot interpret written data. Doesn't surprise me, to like the shitty quests one must be close to an analphabet.

It was never clearly stated they had 1.7 million subs as of Feb 1.

  • @FeanorBR

It was indeed stated that they CURRENTLY have 1.7 million subs (and this was in Feb 1, therefore, this is as of Feb 1). They also said they generated 1.7 million subs and got 2 million sales in a little over a month. To the people saying 1.7 million was as of dec 31st, that was not "a little over a month." Feb 1, however, is.

  • @darthvader7888 LotR Online was the best selling PC game of 2007

Age of Conan sold a million copies at release

Warhammer reached just under a million subscribers in less than a month

Rift sold a million copies at launch

So now tell me sales figures mean shit.

  • @Felsphar

My point was, SWTOR is not dead, despite what this "TORtanic" BS would make one believe. 1.7 million subs =/= dead. Btw, none of those games you mentioned had 1.7 million subs after the free month was up.

  • @darthvader7888 Yep, none of those games had 1.7 million paying subs. Where 'those games' includes LotR,AoC,Rift,WAR, and the Tortanic(SWTOR).

  • @darthvader7888 Most of those game's subs hadn't dropped until months-year of release. Warhammer is notable for dropping disastrously after four months.

Also EA lost about the price of the development of ToR in a day.

  • @darthvader7888 By the way, selling means nothing on an MMO. What matters is subscription retention. Warhammer also sold a lot... look what happened.
