holy... crap i've watched 9/11 videos at school every year and i have never heard the part with the people jumping out of the buildings...i almost cryed when i heard it
On this day, I didn't imagine for one second that we Americans would be able to look back 10 years later and say, "We somehow made it through all that," but we can now. May we never give up hope, and never give up on each other.
that event was horrible and it shocked the entire country, we must live with this fear and try and move forward. we must be strong but we must also show the world that we will stand though everything.
during 9/11 i was bullied for being patriotic and when it happened I just collapsed and wanted to die but instead I got stronger and now I'm in another school where Im respected and have a lot of friends. GOD BLESS AMERICA
I just have to tell you this is amazing. I want to say beautiful, but nothing beautiful happened that day. It makes me so sad, yet I have to keep rewatching.
@takadasaiko06 actually one beutiful thing did come from that it showed the people of america that when faced with something truely horrifiying and devestating we can come together not as a mix of ethnicities not as individuals but as a single strong nation and we can push forward and support and help eachother through the pain and heartbreak and we can emerge stronger then we ever were before
Your video made me cry. I can still remember what I was doing when we found out what had happened in New York. I was in elementary school in Indiana and the teachers spent the rest of the day crying. So were we. We never understood why it had happened. I still don't.
It was my first year of High School when this happened. I had just gotten into history class and the teacher settled us in. In the hall, I could hear people running in the hall saying "The Twin Towers are under attack! Put it on the News!" My history teacher turned on the television and he just let us watching it. The whole class was just in tears! There was not a dry eye in that class. Not a one! God Bless America... We will just never forget! God Bless Alfred Jones
I was almost five when it happened. I heard about it when I was 9, but didn't really learn anything about it until I was 12.
I know a lot of people who cry about it. I know a lot of people who laugh about it (because if you don't laugh, all you can do is cry). But I feel sort of bad because I don't do either whenever the subject arises.
I was 5..my parents were at work and when Flight 93 flew over Cleveland, my dad was driving past the airport o.o
My Nana went in another room to watch the news. the next time I went to school, my friends made tall towers outta building blocks and threw other bricks at em. they thought it was from a movie they saw TT~TT
My Nana told me when I was 10 what really happened TT.TT
@GilbertKiddyEars I was four, and my cousin was born the day the terrorist attacked. What was supposed to be a happy day, was a day that was clouded with despair. And forever my cousin's birthday will be a sad one, even though he's completely oblivious to the fact of what really happened.
yo this here video is EPIC its so nice to know that ppl really do care about this and take the time to make these.TT-TT Our freedom WILL be defended!!!!America i love you man!!
I have total respect for you now man. You are freaking amazing because of this video. I could have never done such a good job like you did. If i was a teacher and this was your assignment, then A+++++ man.
Where did you get the voices ? I need to make a video about 9/11 for a project, and I wanted to include some in it. The "We saw what we thought was debris, but we realized it was people jumping" made me cry :'(
The terrorists that did 9/11 thought that it would tear america apart but it just brought us closer together and fighting for what we believe in and never giving up. We might get knocked down a few times but we get right back up and that's just a few ways America is great.
i remember when that happened... i was like 5 or something but i still recall watching the news and seeing the flames and the remains of the buildings... this was a great video. absolutely beautiful.
I started crying......... This really what american spirit is. Never Giving up. I feel ashamed now to think that I payed absolutley no attention to 9-11 for almost my whole life. LONG LIVE AMERICA! THE HOME OF THE FREE AND THE BRAVE!
I was 4 when this happened so I don't remember it. Years later I learned exactly how it went... It sucks... My teachers didn't even tribute it last year! They just mentioned it and that's it! One of them, A war venteran, Just blew it off after a kid mentioned it! But this is a beutiful tribute~
This is beautiful. I was in either kindergarten or first grade when it happened, and I didn't understand any of it. A few years later I finally got it, though. This is simply amazing.
i remember this day ;l it was a hoorible day i remember my aunt coming and getting me and my brother from school it was first grade for me i believe and she was crying . it was such a scary day. good job on the video very emotional though
I just gotta say that this is an excellent 9/11 tribute! As a hetalia fan, America is and always will be one of my favorite characters. But as an American, the USA will always be the only country that I truly love. God bless all those who perished that day. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten!
:'( I totally get where you're coming from in this...I dont think its offensive to try to remember 9/11 and relate it to America's character in Hetalia. This just makes it more available to people in other countries and maybe some anime fans in America who didnt remember. I for one, will NEVER forget 9/11.
@mcr9793 o.o are you saying im playing around with something really serious? im just taking something i have feelings for and putting them in my own 'actions'
im sorry if i offended you or anything o.o i didn't really wanna offend anyone.. this video is just an expression of my emotion.
I'm sorry, but I don't think this was tasteful at all. Not putting you down as an editor, but using something that happened to the country as a whole (and I'll assume you're American too), it sort of upsets me. Also, dedicating it to a fictional character over real people that have died also... I'm sorry hun.
@ushi184 No, it's alright. I just think there could be better (to say in lack of other words) ways to express yourself. So many things are happening in communities to remember 9/11 in other ways - using Hetalia to do it in a fandom that often times uses horrible events for a purpose to squee just doesn't look thoughtful, no matter your intentions.
@Mintpuppy17 Are fucking serious? What i think she did somthing oringal unlike like other people would of done. They would of put actual footage and she didn't so sir mam whatever the hell you are,you just have a small mind and just a troll. I mean if you came here just to say that then just keep it to yourself because no one wants to hear your bullshit of uncreativity.
@xHanimal I'm sorry, but not everyone you disagree with is a troll. I don't think I was rude at all to her, and un-creativity because I have an opinion? All I said was I didn't think it was right to do. And secondly, I never ripped on the video, I think it was well put together but rather hurt for me to see it trying to remember people who died by using fictional characters. To me, it looked more like fandom fodder. The creator already responded to me - there was no reason for you to attack me.
@Mintpuppy17 Just putting this out there, as a writer, sometimes a fictional character can express things in ways words can't even begin to. Throughout the history of literature, fictional characters have been used in order to express unfavorable or even horrible situations. This does not mean they were trying to be disrespectful or untactful. It is just a form of expression like any other. I understand that Hetalia is not part of the 'literary canon', but the same principles still apply.
@Mintpuppy17 I understand that this all depends on the intention of the author, but if that is the issue then you should just talk it over with the author. Do not blame it on the fact that you feel that fiction cannot express these things. Even though I don't believe the author meant anything bad by this, personally. These are just my opinions though so don't take it to heart. ;)
@Lugiasuicunegaara No, no, I know her intentions were good. I wasn't saying she was doing it be horrible. I don't think you should ever be upset over someone else's opinions, but as warning, when you ever do anything with Hetalia with a recent/large event, you're most likely going to upset someone. Don't worry, I've already talked with the creator, I'm not mad, not in the least. I was just sort of unsettled to see it on my Youtube homepage. I never said she did it to be disrespectful.
@Mintpuppy17 Well you seem not to be a anime person if you were you woud understand. That ''fictional character'' is from a anime called Hetalia,Which has country as people and could help you learn easier for history. So this ''fictional character'' is America.I'm not even going to bring the creator in this because im very good friends with her .But all im saying is that your close minded because she used the anime charater in a very emotional and moving way.
@xHanimal ... Okay, I hope you realize that I'VE ALREADY TALKED TO THE CREATOR (in caps only for lack of italics). I even said that she already responded to me. We both agreed with thought differently about the topic and use of Hetalia. I wasn't even going to come back to this video until you left me that message calling me a troll and 'full of bullshit uncreativity'. Ushi was polite about it, as was I. There was no reason to even respond to my comment because we agreed with thought differently.
@Mintpuppy17 and i hope you realized that I'M VERY GOOD FRIENDS WITH THE CREATOR (caps for your retardedness)and how do you know that's actually how she feels (yes exactely you dont know)I mean for god sakes i had some relatives who almost/did die in 9/11 and i'm not offended by this at all.But your just a person who gets offended easily i guess and i'm not gonna write 2 paragraphs like you did because there is nothing to say.I dont care for your opinion but dude your comment is so closed minded
@xHanimal .... Because she responded to my comment herself. I'm done talking with you, because I have a right to my own opinion and, as stated, I've already talked to Ushi and was no longer really upset as she explained herself. Thanks for your time. :)
@xHanimal Secondly, I don't know if this was you, but someone responded to me trying to explain what Hetalia was - I saw that. I know exactly what Hetalia is. Maybe my unease with Hetalia touching Sensitive topics comes from so many fans doing it horribly (Germany/Prussia cosplayers pointing guns at Star of David, anyone?) but in no way is this video on that level. Just please realize, even with good intentions when you try to deal with topics such of these, you might offend someone.
@xHanimal Anyways, I'm done. I know what Anime is - I've been a Hetalia fan for a little over two years. I've already talked to the creator and even before you commented, we agreed we thought differently. There's no need to continue this conversation because tl;dr, I don't Hetalia should ever be used with sensitive topics.
