doesnt the almay TLC have SLS acid? it often makes acne worse if you have oily skin that's why i don't use almay or neutrogena face stuff but if it works for you that's awesome :)

@PinkSharpiefication Salicylic? Nope the Almay TLC doesn't. I'm allergic to asprin and salicylic acid as well as any other derivatives and have to check really well that nothing I use contains it. Almay does make a foundation that they market as skin clearing or something similar that does have it though.

@PinkSharpiefication Or did you mean Sodium Lauryl Sulfate? It doesn't have that either, SLS is mostly used in cleansers.

@glintzy lol sorry should have been mre specific...I mean't salicylic acid, yes...i picked up one of the almay foundations the clearing ones that you mentioned and it has that in it i thought you use that one..never mind :)

@rocco1alex I still use Almay TLC but mix in the Olay daily regenerating serum fragrance free serum that I talked about in my flake free winter video in with it. I apply it with my fingers now days. I use the Maybelline dark circle eraser for under eye concealer now, and still use the Maybelline dream matte powder.

Thank you so much for ur videos. They are really helpful as I have similar skin like yours. I used Revlon color stay foundation as you recommended and I do like it better than others that I have used. But I would like to try Almay tlc now. Unfortunately it's not available in the country that I live, so I will have to order online. My Revlon Color stay shade is more or less 320 True beige, what Almay tlc shade should I order? I will really appreciate your help. Thanks

My skin is just like yours all my problems are on my cheeks and I'm always oily...I was using colorstay but it felt so heavy so after seeing this I went out and got the foundation and I LOVE it, now I just need to get the concealer...thanks so much I love your videos :)

@perryml89 I'm glad you're liking it! I still have the warm fuzzy feeling about TLC after all this time, I'm still not over how great it is. I've been recently trying out the SuperStay concealer for acne/scars and it's pretty darn good too, just to give you an option.

@beautyl0vin Yes, it dries really well for lack of a better word. I have that same problem you're talking about with most concealers, like they stay too creamy and never really set. This dries down and stays put. It doesn't crease, melt off or otherwise get disturbed throughout the day.

@megha823 Primers tend to break me out too, I just like to moisturize before I apply makeup instead. I've been loving Clinique Dramatically Different gel lately.

hi - Just wanted to thank you for putting my onto this foundation. I've been using it for more than a week and I'd hasten to saw it's now my HG (used to be Colorstay). I think the coverage is way better than CS. The only issue I have with it is that it's $31 in Australia!

@benstac It wears perfectly for me. Even though I have oily skin which tends to break down makeup throughout the day or cause it to oxidize this foundation looks just as good at the end of the day as it did when I applied it.

I really recommend Bobbi Brown creamy concealer, its brilliant and I've tried every concealer out there for acne scarring and it definitely covers the best. Doesn't have SPF though so its good for night time, but you still need spf moisturiser.

I have used Revlon cs foundation for quite sometime. However I find that if I don't really need my makeup to last and last I would like to find a foundation that doesn't wear heavier. CS can sometimes be a hassle to remove. I have reviewed this foundation on MUA and it received glowing reviews. I need to pick this up and try it. Almay is not a brand that I have ever really been interested in. Thanks.

@sheLoVic I use almay clear complexion for blemish prone skin. my skin used to be reallyyyyyyyy oily and it worked so well on me. then i took a medication and that made my skin became less oily and now i find that its getting harder to blend the foundation, but I still like it though. If you find the right shade, it ends up looking so natural on your face that no one can tell you even have anything on your face.

@ANGELIKI5002 I've tried quite a few of their foundations, they tend to be heavy feeling on the face and all of the ones I've tried broke me out. I haven't tried the new long wearing one though, I'm afraid to since they usually break me out.

Hey girl I love this tutorial! I bought that foundation yesterday and tried it on today, but it didn't go so well. I got it in buff, which was a tad bit yellow but definitely blended in well with my skintones. I used my sigma f80 which works amazing for all my other foundations, but for this one it didn't work so well. It seemed to look cakey or accentuate dry flakes (and I don't ever have dry flakes so it's weird. lol) maybe I should try a different brush? What do you think?

@EasyAccessBeauty I'd try a different brush. From what I can tell from looking at it the F80 seems really dense, I'd try a fluffier one. You also might want to try using less of the foundation and see how that works.

you may not agree with me but you shouldn't be using the 109 for liquid foundation. its a natural hair brush, and natural hair if you zoomed in really close to it, it would be like a cylinder, theres a tunnel in each follicle. the liquid foundation will seep into the tunnel and build up and end up breaking the natural hair with time. even a deep clean wont be able to fully remove the foundation. thats why the 190 is synthetic, because theres no tunnel for the foundation to soak in. :) good tut.

I have to try this foundation and concealer. I started applying the Revlon Colorstay foundation with your method over a year ago when I first watched that video of yours and then I purchased the Maybelline Pure Stay pressed powder foundation right after watching your video on it and that worked great too, just like you said it would. You're the only make up guru here on Youtube whose judgment I really trust when it comes to foundation lol.

@oftgoawry I spot clean it after every use and deep clean every week or two. It would definitely be every week for deep clean if I used it every day but sometimes I only wear makeup once or twice a week.
