I rented one of these and the acceleration was insane! Very nimble and powerfull! The only bad thing i can say is that the power steering is a tad sensitive at high speeds but that might be because i just started riding that day and was not used to it. Really good sled.
the cheapest yamaha nytro series sled that I saw at a local dealer was $15,000 and and that was a base model, the most expensive nytro there was around $22,500. Those numbers are too high for a sled.
People always talk about weight like it's a bad thing. Weight keeps the front end planted in the corners, and at speed. And, these things have MORE than enough torque to move those few extra cheeseburgers.
@sledhead7969 yes remember though half the people that say have never even rode one most that have ( that are decent at sledding) can live with the weight and can fiqure out how to ride it and take any where and sometimes further then any 2 stroke out there
JMSnow2013 must be kidding right? Yamaha has not always been the fastest or the lightest but they have the best reputation for fit and finish and the most reliable engines in the industry. no one argues that.
they look like nice sleds but every yamaha my dad has had hes always had troubles with them like the motors seizing up on them he bout a new ski doo and its the best sled i have every rode.
@bergein69 ya becuase if you steal a skidoo or polairs no one cares but if you steal a yamaha its like commiting murder to rob some one of such an amazing sled hahahahaha
