Hmmm... I've been trying to convince myself to buy these exact ones because my back pain goes away when I wear them, but they look so ridiculous! lol I don't know though, if you can climb like that in them, it might be worth it to just get them.

I've always wondered this about free climbers..

Do you..find a path to take before climbing..or just run up to it find it on the go??

As in competition I can see finding that path for quickness but free climbers..wouldn't that be more of the reason for free climbing is that I don't need a path I make a path? The challenge..

@wannabesurvivalist Climb in what you got!! I know tons of guys that will climb in jeans just roll them up like a girls pair of capris. I usually try to avoid jeans when im climbing out doors because the seams chaffe when im hiking to the boulders. I'll usually wear cargo pants and roll them up outdoors and work out shorts when i go to the climbing gym.

that rock was pretty sheer :) nice, but don't take unecessary risks, get some protection, i know it dulls the sensation but if you end up paralized or dead, you won't be able to do these great things anymore !!!

they are also great in paintball they don't slip easily and they allow you to run faster than you would with shoes

I have a pair of KSO's I have started using for slacklining and Bouldering too! Being able to spread my toes around a hold or use one toe to get purchase on a rock beats scumming anytime.

these shoes are best for beach and river use climbing, running. not so much. you need a concentrated point like climbing shoes are designed for. besisdes what is this route? a 5.6? lame.

True, I use mine for beach bouldering, the sand and water means I don't usually need a spotter or Crash Pads... But they do provide insane balance, and that gives in turn, amazing stability for climbing.
