Israel is the only stable democracy in the Middle East. If America is a democracy we should stand up for her more. I visited many Northern Israeli outposts on the border with Lebanon and was impressed with the Israeli value for life and the way they conduct themselves amongst people who want nothing more than to see them dead.

The IDF is one of the smartest & well-equiped army in the world, but in this instance, be it due to political reasons the IDF in my view failed to achieve anything.

Ik kan inderdaad een scheiding maken tussen geloof en religieuze instituties. Er is een wezenlijk verschil. God is inderdaad vrede, vreugde en liefde. Wat een mens met religie doet en onder het mom van religie doet staat los van het geloof. Dat valt geloof of God, goden, een godheid (hoe jij het wilt noemen) niet aan te rekenen.

And of course I would like that every dead Palestinian or Israeli origin, is regrettable. Value ratios say nothing about guilt / innocence, right or wrong.

Feit is dat de staat Palestina nooit heeft bestaan, dus heel strikt genomen is er geen sprake van een bezetting. Ten tijde van de oprichting van de staat Israel viel het gebied onder mandaat van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Israel is het thuisland dat geen enkele jood is vergeten toen zij over de wereld verspreid raakte. Het kader is niet alleen absoluut voor zichzelf, maar ook voor andersdenkenden. Dat is vooral wat gelovign moreel minderwaardig maakt t.o.v. atheïsten. Im neither Jewish nor Muslim, therefore my opinion is not biased. However from a strategic perspective this recent war achieved nothing. I was astonished that the IDF did not do better. The IDF is one of the smartest & well-equiped army in the world, but in this instance, be it due to political reasons the IDF in my view failed to achieve anything.

perhaps the IDF didnt find the kidnapped soldiers, which is aweful, but what you have now is a stronger forec in south lebanon which takes responsibility over the border. Lebanon is not an imdependent country and has sevral external forces which controls her, while israel is guarding itself.

When was the last time u opened a map? Israel is a tiny area where 99% of the mid. east is owned by arabs. Asking jews to give up on Zionism is asking them to give up on Judaism. A land with such a long history must of hand peoples that have been pushed from the land in your colonel push for greed. It is not that long ago in Australia since the genocide of the aborigines and the government tell us that there were only a few nomads but I see signs of long established community when ever in the bush. We can only understand our history through observation as the winner takes all including history.
