That trick used to work on the old cuffs but not anymore because new cuffs have locking gears with grooves in the middle. So it’s impossible to slip a thin flat piece of metal or plastic through the teeth. So, kids, don’t try this trick if you don’t wanna get charged with attempted escape. Cops are not stupid as you think.

@pillpop99 Do you honestly think getting out of hand cuffs is a big deal in a high security area? Prisons these days don't rely on hand cuffs at all. They still use them, but only to prevent injury, not escape. They rely on surveillance to prevent escape. Towers, dogs, inspections, and architecture are the means of imprisonment, even in third world countries. Prisoners used to escape by breaking handcuffs, back in the 1800's. There was a video at a court house, but that dude only got two blocks.

Helping the police in any way is known as snitching. You snitch, you die. He gave them information on how other inmates escape hand cuffs. The police will change their tactics or equipment to make it harder for inmates to escape hand cuffs, all because someone ran their mouth. When other inmates find out he helped the police, he will be shanked in the yard. Poor guy is dead because of the black women filming him.

This can also be done with some types of pen caps, a small nail, or a folded over soda can tab (American style, not sure about pull-tabs), anything that can get into that space and push the locking teeth away from the cuff teeth will do the trick.

Ramming the pin out is the rarely known part however.

He's either done some work as a magician, or was smart enough to study under one to learn escape artist tricks.
