Now, it seems to me this is a huge improvement, we haven't done anything. If on July 22nd there were 47 million uninsured -- and last night, September the 9th, we're down to 30 million uninsured -- we don't need to do anything! We're going in the right detection here. All of a sudden 17 million got health insurance and we haven't done one aspect of Obama's plan yet.

Obama is no genius. He's a smart guy that can read a speech well. Had his policies benefitted the citizens of the USA, I would love to have him as president. There are issues with the healthcare system in America, but it is no where near as bad as Obama and the media make it out to be. Over 90% of the people have insurance and of those over 85% are happy with their insurance. The emergency rooms never turn people away (insured or not) and the doctors and technology is some of the best in the world.
Stimulus: Economists estimated that it would take until the 4th quarter of 2009 for the recession to end if we DIDN'T have a stimulus...
That leaves about 10% of the population, ONE OUT OF TEN(!) without coverage. Please, have the decency not to say that they're not allowed, as human beings, to have decent, preventive health care coverage! Yes! The emergency room does not turn anyone away, but once you go htere with terminal cancer, an emergency, there is not much they can do, is there?
That's why there is Medicare, Medicaid.... just fill out the forms. Also, there are people that can afford healthcare that just done (9.5M make over $75K), others are students or in between jobs.... (I've even gone a couple years without insurance and paid for x-rays to my jaw after a bike crash).
But those programs are obviously not sufficient to cover them efficiently. Yet, detractors of so called "obamacare" don't even want to hear about expanding Medicare or Medicaid, something they perceive as a socialist takeover of the country! My question is: what does the other side propose, except lowering the costs for those that are uninsured? Because you can't avoid the problem forever, asking them to fill forms. At some point, you need to solve this thing! How!?

That said, yes, there is need to reform many areas of healthcare and insurance.... just Obama's overhaul is not the way. We need to make the current system more efficient. We can do that by using electronic medical records, reduce lawsuits, increase insurance competition by allowing companies to cross state borders more easily....

From the international perspective, I can guarantee you that we look at him as a great man who has finally decided to solve the ridiculous situation of American healthcare. As for his policies, you should really give him some time. In his speech, he explained how economies work, a system that is in all economics books. Things don't happen overnight, but an economy's strength is defined by the speed of the money flow, Getting banks to lend, companies to hire and produce takes time. Bless you!

There are issues with the healthcare system in America, but it is no where near as bad as Obama and the media make it out to be. Over 90% of the people have insurance and of those over 85% are happy with their insurance. The emergency rooms never turn people away (insured or not) and the doctors and technology is some of the best in the world.
Stimulus: Economists estimated that it would take until the 4th quarter of 2009 for the recession to end if we DIDN'T have a stimulus...

That's why there is Medicare, Medicaid.... just fill out the forms. Also, there are people that can afford healthcare that just done (9.5M make over $75K), others are students or in between jobs.... (I've even gone a couple years without insurance and paid for x-rays to my jaw after a bike crash).

But those programs are obviously not sufficient to cover them efficiently. Yet, detractors of so called "obamacare" don't even want to hear about expanding Medicare or Medicaid, something they perceive as a socialist takeover of the country! My question is: what does the other side propose, except lowering the costs for those that are uninsured? Because you can't avoid the problem forever, asking them to fill forms. At some point, you need to solve this thing! How!?

That said, yes, there is need to reform many areas of healthcare and insurance.... just Obama's overhaul is not the way. We need to make the current system more efficient. We can do that by using electronic medical records, reduce lawsuits, increase insurance competition by allowing companies to cross state borders more easily....

Increase the number and salary of soldiers? Didn't he say that we need to get out of debt? - seems like a bit of a contradiction - why not bring more troops home where we can increase the productive capacity of the economy and decrease government costs? Why not convert soldiers into engineers to rebuild the U.S. infrastructure? Wouldn't that be a better use of their time?

Most "inovations" in Japanese cars were American inventions rejected by American auto executives.

Leadership is influence. As a leader of the nation you and the government should have set an example by taking at least 10% salary cut. By doing so we would save 1.6 billion a year. Its very hard to walk the talk, is not it?

When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window it should be displayed in the same way, that is with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street.
