A good lesson to be learned. Always wait at least fifteen or even thirty minutes before going to a downed deer, longer if bow-hunting, as a wounded deer will often not go far, but bed down and then die, whereas if you go immediately to them they may get up and run a long ways. That and always have your gun out and ready to shoot it again if necessary. I personally usually poke them with the gun myself. Very nice video, nice nature shots at the beginning :)
