Dunga fez uma ótima campanha e a falha ficou no temperamento e incapacidade de um time inteiro de manter o controle e administrar um resultado favorável num jogo decisivo. Pode-se culpar o Dunga por não ousar e variar com jogadores brilhantes e pouco experientes ao longo das escalações, mas não por ter sido um mal técnico.
