hello

well what if i whant to record what im doing on the computer like gameplay . iknow there is tons of programs for that . but i whant to record in HD and dont lose eny computer power due to lag ect ...

so what are the options for that ??? i been looking around a bit now and cant find enything that seem to be what im looking for , i got hdmi grafics card so something that have hdmi in would work ,but no luck there ,, or a external card that records to something else ... hope you can help:P

Don't buy this tuner if you use Linux. It won't work and the chipset manufacturer (ATI) is not willing to provide info on the device to developers. Until then, V4L developers can't get it working. Doesn't work on a Mac either so it's as good as useless to me.

if anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated...i have a pinnacle pctv 880e usb tv tuner and it was working great with windows media center for months up untill about the begining of this month...when i click on the live tv button i get a "tunner Not Available" message. doing a channel rescan doesnt work ether in fact it says that no tuner was found. i have made NO changes to my hardware or software setup in my pc. but the tuner does work in another computer.....any ideas??

i literally am having the exact same problem except i just bought mine, works fine with the pinnacle software but media center give me the "tunner not available message any help would be greatly appreciated

i found a solution to my problem. i uninstalled my video card. and its drivers.. then installed the pctv mce drver thing..restarted. and, without a graphics driver installed. scan for tv cannels in media center and what do you know it worked! then after it finds the signal and its all configured...go ahead and reinstall the graphics driver. idk it worked for me...weirdd

hey thanks for trying but it didnt work at all for me when i tried it this time media center didnt even detect an antenna at all, but it also says that there are no digital tv listings for my area. Just wondering where did you find your solution? was it a support line that was helpful? anyway thanks again for trying

well i just spent alot of time on fourms u know google searching certain error messages that i get form media center.. just make sure you have the pinnacle pctv mce driver installed right. anythign else i m not sure.. jsut keep searchin on the fourms..this stuff is really trickiee =\

i got that with my computer however my tv tuner came with my stock bought desktop, it worked for about a month and now it says its not there.

Im not sure, I know the regular one does, but I reccomend getting the Pinnicle Dazzle though. It was made for capturing from game consoles.

I've used other capture cards that are way better than this. So I'm returning for a full refund. It's glitch factor makes it's concept of portability not so wonderful.  They make it seem like this cool thing you can snap in and out and get quick results. Also this guy talking about it being a 2GB flash as if it were a little secret. Who cares? You can buy those for $9 at the store. If you have never used a PC tuner, my suggestion is to shop around before settling on one.

It couldn't even grab the channel guide from the net. Closing a sub menu or window can take 4 or 5 seconds!

The people that like this are extreme optimists who get it to work in a basic sense and think it's fine. Well I get a picture too. Buy if you dare, but I warn you, it's full of bugs. It's better than nothing, but not any thing special. Just because a few get it working doesn't mean it's not annoying to use. DO NOT BUY unless you are prepared for all of this.

I ran into problems where I'd playback mode launches the windows player which caused the other player to crash. One video plays over the other and it's a mess. No time counter when you record. Even YouTubes player over the internet is better at handling positioning within a video. This cpu hog is much slower than my 4 year old pci hauppauge card. Pressing the UP triangle to go up a chanell takes it down a channel. It's BACKWARDS! Yes, it really is.

Awesome idea, but this thing sucks. It can work, but windows hang, won't move, pressing controls on the remote cause the program to crash sometimes. It takes a long time to respond and load. Keep in mind I have one of the fastest, over clocked computers that can be built with the latest tech in mid 2008. My system is about 40% faster than the best store bought computer. Yet this thing isn't very good.

i bought one of these from amazon last month, this is nice, but.... i also bought a hp pavillion Core2 duo, this laptop comes with windows vista 64 bit and the ultimate stick doesn't work with, so this not so smart divice or not so smart producer, pinnacle does not have a solution yet..little dissapoint..

solve my problem using vmware, i create a virtual machine with XP and install there my pinnacle ultimate stick, not the optimal solution but works, still think too much work for a "smart" divice

Oh, I'd blame pinnacle. Hundreds of others in reviews curse it in Vista or XP.  It's software truly sucks. I have it hear and it's been a bad experience. I have the fastest over clocked system and a fresh install of windows and it still is lousy. It works, but is a mess. I'm returning mine.

It's a glitchy piece of garbage. On the fastest computer with oodles of ram it ran like crap, hung, crashed and burned. Many others on Amazon reviews will confirm that while it works and records, it's annoying and frustrating at best. IT's really slow. DO NOT BUY!
