Perfect for toddlers, as long as the parents learn it, and use it on a daily bases. I love this one and am trying to teach my daughter Japanese as her 2nd lang. Though she is three and still has not gotten english down. But, that is ok. We will be home schooling her which is a plus, because I plan on adding Japanese to her schooling. :) It is always good to each your children a second lang. ^_^

I don't know what the difference is between a sheep and a lamb, but according to Rikaichan, 羊 or ひつじ means "sheep," so I guess it's the same meaning, lol.

The ram, or ひつじ is the 8th sign of the Chinese Zodiac, so I guess it could mean ram too.
