Wrists only come in handy for the traditional grip hand depending on what finger technique you're using. It looks like the D.D. thumb-forefinger pivot technique that provides halved note value relative to your pivot movement. 8th pivot = 16th notes, 16th pivot = 32nd...etc.... I think he's moving his left arm to help with the pivot. But he does look like he's giving birth, lol.

At the beginning of the video the time was 2:59:13, at the end the time was 3:00:08. But since the video timer doesn't show seconds all we get is 2:59 and 3:00. 55 seconds have passed from the beginning to the end.
