@sumsdiva1 ANY pet is prone to violence or danger to the human it is owned by, and vice versa. A friend got a bad infection because one of his hamsters randomly attacked and got a nice savory vein in his finger. A neighbors dog one day went randomly berserk and attacked one of the kids on the street.

Do they have any teeth, and if so, do they even have the capacity to chew, or are they stuck with just lapping things up with that weird tongue? If the latter, I could imagine no greater torture for an anteater than coconut chunks.

He did pulverize it a little bit with his claws I guess. Man, it would suck being an anteater, having a little hole for a mouth! I wouldn't be able to eat anything good, just suck up ants and liquids...

Yeah a blended cheese burger just wouldn't be the same. They can eat little chunks of blue cheese and he was great at clawing up fruits to eat, plums, cherries, strawberries. He would suckle on my fingers. He was a big baby.

I guess I really get the monty python gag now, where the guy wanted to be a tiger tamer for a circus but it turned out that the animal he thought the word "tiger" referred to was in fact an anteater, and then when the other guy described what a tiger actually was, he was like "no, I really don't think I want to do that". Having no teeth kind of takes the edge off, but it would be an interesting act. "Presenting the amazing Blazeeni and his flying anteaters, watch as they jump the ring of fire!".
