Yeah I agree about that pokemon bit, PUSA sucks for doing that. And I perosnally find the music in the japanese versions really boring (or at least in 5Ds, minus when he played savior star dragon, that was awesome) I'm sure keeping the original themes would cause fangasms but it would make it a very mediocre show in America and Europe because it would be targeted at a very small group.

Nope, they stopped editing the violence out. Crazy right?! But the episode with all the flashbacks and with kiryu (who is even crazier in the english version) hat alot of violence of people beating up crow and they kept it. They also kept the scene where kiryu killed the cop. Also, kiryu says "Yusei, I'm here to take you to the netherworld" which is 4kids' way of saying "Im going to send you to hell" And kiryu openly states that he loves dishing out real pain in shadow games.

Not always, but they try to Americanize it too much and that makes it horrible. They didn't do the worst job with Shaman King, so, they get points at least, plus, the songs they pump out for the series are usually pretty catchy.
