  • I think it's more like a different dialect than a language completely. Here in America I find that my friends form the north say things differently and even have some different grammar but we're still speaking English. And American English and English seem different in the same way, just different dialect c:

Please keep this up, I really love the Welsh language and would love to learn to speak it (though I'm sadly incapable of rolling my Rs lol)

  • Just plain adorable. He makes me wanna learn Welsh :)

  • Thanks for the video, you look so sweet. I'm not sure if you'll know but I'll ask you anyway, do you reckon I'd get much practice speaking Welsh in Swansea?

  • @eljacinto22 haha, diolch! :) Well, there is a welsh school in swansea, as well as the english ones, are it is the second most populated city in wales, so i would think so....it is usually the more north you get, but there are still big pockets of welsh spoken...and becoming more popular too :) Have you check out my newer vids? lol

  • A good part of my ancestry is welsh. Have you ever heard of the name Oty?

  • Please tell me that Welsh and other Celtic languages aren't dying out. I keep on reading that they are, and as an American with Celtic origins (Irish, Scottish, Welsh - funny how there's no English..), it makes me incredibly sad. It feels like a little of my past is dying out.

  • @AdamDubb unfortunately, they are. The Welsh Government have now made learning Welsh compulsory, which a lot of people don't like, but at least it is still being spoken.

  • this language sounds amazing... maybe a bit difficult for me as I'm Italian... But I'm lovin it *_*

  • This guy is just cute as a bug! Huge asset for the Welsh-language community. :)

  • nice video, but need to hold the paper closer to the cam

also.. whats the difference between north and south language?

2 languages or just some different words

  • Ah, I know. lol, I have a little white board now which I will use :) sorry.

There are differences between the two languages of South and North Wales, mostly in the spellings but alot of grammar also, so it can get confusing. I only speak South Walean now though :) x
