They don't mail acceptance letters, they would call you if you were accepted. A 3.00 GPA for Harvard would be an automatic reject whether you are white or black. There is no such thing as a 1900 SAT. 1600 is the highest you can get. A 4.5 GPA, means nothing, because it is a weighted average which the better schools would discard as inflated. They would look at the applicants extracurricular activities as well, not just their GPA and SATs.

i am a bio pre med student. I am looking for a summer internship at a really good college. maybe harvard? but everything says, in bold, we highly encourage underrepresented minorities to apply. in the picture 9 of the 10 applicants are black. 7 are women. another one all are women. i am a white male. this is the first time i was every discriminated against. it is the most frustrating thing. Everyone should be treated equal. any help given to any race is racist. black history month is racist.

1) 80% of Affirmative Action hires are white women.

2) In the US job market of over 95,000,000 jobs less than 100,000 jobs (mostly entry-level) have Affirmative Action applied to them. That means around 20,000 minorities benefit from it. A tiny amount.

3) All Affirmative Action hires must meet minimum requirements for the job.

4) Minorities have lower chances of getting the same jobs with the same qualifications.

1) True but many, many white males are hired over other people simply because they are white males. White males are more likely to be hired than anyone else (a white high school grad has the same chances of being hired as a black college grad) and they're paid more than everyone else.

2) Then make sure white privilege isn't occurring either.

2) See above. White males are also less likely to go to jail for the same crimes as minorities and usually get lighter sentences. Why else do you think white Americans are 71% of US drug users but less than 25% of the people in jail for drug possession? 3) Doctors from all races don't benefit from AA. Affirmative Action is mostly applied to entry-level jobs. It doesn't get you promoted and it isn't applied to high-level professional and technical jobs. Not a single scientist, doctor, etc. has been hired because of AA. In those fields you have to be the best of the best.

yes he was texting because he was NOT QUALIFIED FOR THE JOB..he WAS HIRED ONLY ON HIS TRANSGENDER STATUS AS A MINORITY.. she also had NUMEROUS speding tickets,was responsible for a car accident in 2008.had a serious attendance issue & should have NEVER been hired as for the position she was in.MBTA has stated he was hired ONLY AS a minority using her transgender status.
