This bag is not good for humid weather country like mine, damn just let it sitting at my back, it creates a huge sweat patch at my back.... and yea, unbreathable for me too
@517spiderman A bit too big relative to what, me? I'm 5 foot 9. It's the second largest bag they make, just over 30 L, and it's wider than it is high unlike most backpacks.
@ethikos I'm 5"9 too and i'm going to start being bike messenger soon. I pan to carry a laptop, bike tool kit, patches, water patch kit and extra gear. Think this will hold up for that?
chrome is burned. if you have money just get a better looking on, cuz im sure 80% of you dont realize chrome bags are for bike messengers. if all you want is a messenger bag, and willign to spend over 100 for a bag. look at better ones.
@chris06g While I agree with what you say in part, I got the bag given the amount of time I spent riding my bike, and the fact that I preferred it to a backpack, as well as it being waterproof, which is important when you live in a really rainy city. If it's comfortable, does the job, and you like it, go with it. With that said, I'd be stoked on a PAC bag, those things are really nice, just happened that I got the Chrome at less than half of MSRP =)
@pbird83 Haha. That's awesome. Not so much fashion as being proud of my bag =b As it happens I'm still using it daily. It's actually in San Fran right now being repaired and is gonna get shipped back to me in short order. Four years of daily use got it pretty ratty, so it was time for some mending =)
@iphonefan12 Depends on how much junk you need to carry. If you can, take a look at them in a store and base your decision on that. Otherwise, try to compare the litre capacity to different backpacks you currently own, or can at least check out in person.
@pupilsactionparty I've been usin' it for the past three years. The strap is getting a bit janky at this point, but I could easily get it fixed. It's pretty bomb-proof, and I have it with me every single day, any time I leave my place.
Oh my, I want this bag, but is it too expensive? Is it really well worth it? I just had a billabong bag, and the synthetic leathery skin is wearing out after a couple of uses
It's heavily dependent on how you put things inside of it as well. Try shuffling things around, decreasing the load, and also ensuring that the straps are properly adjusted. Hopefully that helps =)
i just got the Metropolis in Brown for xmas. and i am loving it!! my Timbuk2 shifts on my back when i ride with it but the Chrome bags stay perfectly on my back. this is a must have for any cyclist (messengers and commuters alike!)
Thanks! Yeah, it's a great bag. Still got the bag, still functioning great. The velcro isn't quite as strong as it used to be, but it's still plenty fine. Enjoy!
This is the Metropolis, one size down from the massively amazing Kremlin =D It's a really good size, I like it. I also have a size small Timbuk2 for smaller trips, but primarily I carry the Metropolis... I'm pretty forgetful, so I like carrying a lot of my stuff with me.
Pac bags are sick, my friend had one. I thoroughly envy the one he had, but it just can't be justified price wise for me, because I'm not a messenger, and simply because I don't have that kind of money for a bag. Spending cash goes elsewhere for me, but it's definitely a super sick, and amazingly comfortable bag =)

...okay, so that loose end IS supposed to be there. I looked at this messenger for a long while, but wound up passing it up for a Timbuk2 Commute. Practical, sure, but a lot less *cool* than the Chrome.
Thanks man, I'm glad you like it! It's definitely really comfortable to wear, if you've got the right stuff inside of it. Gotta make sure any folders or things you have in it are bendy =b
chrome FTW

@iphonefan12 I got a metropolis for school, and it works excellently. I never have to go to my locker.

Omg, i want this bag, but is it well worth it? Worth every penny? How long can it be used for??
I had one Billabong bag and the synthetic leathery skin is wearing out after only a couple of uses.

Are you cinching your TB2 down hard enough? Mine doesn't move at all. Don't get me wrong, I love my Chrome but the TB2 is great as well.

I just bought the Citizen size
ferrariModenas 4 years ago
Does it have the stash pocket? I ran into someone with the Citizen, and it didn't have the secret pocket...
ethikos 4 years ago
Which bag/size is in your video Ethikos?
I'm looking to buy something a little smaller in the messenger range.I'm worried the citizen might be a bit big.The mini metro looks ok though.

Citizen doesn't have it.
I'm thinking of upgrading to the Pac designs Ultimate.
The Chrome metro is not deep enough for boxes.

Yeah, Pacs are so comfortable. I love the x-strap and the padded back on it.
I don't have that kind of money for a bag currently, but since I'm not driving at all maybe I can get a Pac bag to use as a "trunk."
The cost for just 6 or so fillups=cost for new pac bag!
