I tried this with dps gear but couldn't get him down. Is tanking gear mandatory?

@GnrlDisarray0 You should be able to kill him with half tank gear. Use some trinket with mastery and Str "on use" like the FIrelands rep one.

Hey as a fellow dk who loves soloing, I get him to roughly 35% before he overpowers me how did you manage it?

Here some tips:

Charge your RP with some rats so you can use your DrW at the ink.

Use dps Trinket/food/flask 'cause you'll need a lot of dps. (a trinekt with + Str and Mastery "on use" is perfect [+dps/surv])

Use your pet (army or ghoul) Asap; summon -> wait ~55 sec for their dps on boss -> sacrify them with vampiric blood for a "lay on hand"

If you can't manage to stay alive with  the dps trinket and buff and you're sure that your rotation is correct, you probably need more gear.

P.S: you need the death strike glyph and to stay at nearly 100 RP, DS -> use the RP 'till 90/100 -> DS, etc
